There are lots of different badges Guides can do. Some badges we do all together, and some we do by ourselves. All the Guides in Australia can do the same badges as us (but they might do different activities). Sometimes there are special badges that Guides in all countries can do.

We have three different types of badges:

• Explore a Challenge: Where we get to choose four activities from a list. We have themes like Health and Fitness, Science and Technology and Friendship
• Create a Challenge: Where we make up our own challenge, based on a theme. We have themes like Houses, Scissors, Outer Space, Eyes, Computers and Water.
• Achieve a Challenge: These are special badges where you have to do some set activities. There are three levels, and each level is harder than the one before it. There are badges like Safety, Canoeing, Camping and Music

Here is some information about badges that we have done in our unit.

Safety

We did this badge as a group, with some help from some very kind parents. We learnt about how to use a stove safely, Safety Houses, crossing the road safely, how to light a candle, and lots of other stuff.
