Sometimes we go away for the weekend, and sleep over at a campsite. We don't sleep in tents, but in special buildings that have lots of beds.

For the whole weekend we have to look after ourselves, by doing stuff like helping cooking dinner, washing up, cleaning the toilets.

We have campfires, where we sing lots of songs, and toast marshmallows. Sometimes we make s'mores, which are a toasted marshmallow and a bit of chocolate between two biscuits.

We have had Pack Holidays at Mt Keira (which is the closest campsite), Cataract Scout Park, Glengarry (in Sydney),  near Jindabyne (in the Snowy Mountains), and Canberra (Australia's capital city).

Some of the activities we have done are:

In August this year, we spent the night at Taronga Zoo. We slept under the stars to raise money for homeless people. We caught the ferry from Circular Quay.  The lights  were  very pretty at night. When we got to the zoo, they had a special concert, which was lots of fun. In the morning, after we packed up our beds, we had a look round the zoo, then caught the ferry back home. It was a fun way to raise money to help people.
