(The boat is stopped a few hundred feet from the shore. They have to wade the rest of the way. Kem gets mad about this and yells something about using her chosen one powers to destroy them all. Mew Two calmly explains why the boat had to stop where it did, and then they all head off to the shore. Once they're all on the land, they stare into the forest trying to figure out what is so bad about it.)

Kem: That doesn't look very evil.

Mystic: Yeah. It looks like a bunch of trees.

Stardust: It looks harmless, but who knows what unspeakable evil lives in there.

Kem: Psht. I'm not afraid of some "unspeakable evil". I'll have Mew and Two kick it's evil a**.

Shimmer: But you don't even know what's in there-

Kuja: Yes, Kem. I sense a darkness over this forest. We should be careful.

Kem: (walking into the forest) Whatever.

(She disappears into the trees. The others follow. They walk along a quiet trail for 2 or 3 hours. Nothing happens.)

Kem: Good thing we wasted all that time arguing about what terrible thing is in here. This place is crawling with monsters! (sarcasm)

Mew: We aren't out of the woods yet.

Mew Two: It's a forest.

Mew: Whatever. They're the same thing. Or can you explain to me what the difference is?

Mew Two: Well-

Kem: No one cares! Since you guys are so paranoid, you should be keeping watch around the path.

Mew Two: You're right.

(They continue walking in silence. After another hour, they begin to wonder if they are going the right way.)

Kem: How big is this forest!?

Stardust: It's a really big forest. I'm not sure how big that is, I just know that it's big.

Blossom: Are you sure we're going the right way?

Kem: No.

(Everyone sighs loudly and looks down at the ground.)

Kem: Come on, guys! We know the palace is west, so as long as we keep going west, we should get to the valley.

Thunder: Are we still going west?

Kem: I'm not sure.

(They all fall over.)

evil Thunder: No wonder no one comes out of here alive! It's so big they all get lost and starve!

Thunder: STARVE!? Starve like having no food!? NO FOOD!? AHHHHHH!!!!

(He begins hyperventilating. Mew makes a paper bag appear in her hands. She gives it to Thunder.)

Mew: Thunder, settle. We have food, don't worry.

(Thunder just breathes into the bag.)

Kem: O-kay.... Any way, Mew Two! Try to figure out which way we are going.

Mew Two: Okay.

(He teleports away. The others decide to sit down and rest while he's gone. After a few minutes, he returns.)

Mew Two: Okay. I have good news and bad news. Which would you like first?

Kem: Good.

Mew Two: We are going towards the west.

Kem: Good! Bad.

Mew Two: I think I found out why no one comes out of here alive.

Kem: Why?

Mew Two: A few miles up, there's a tunnel through the mountain. Inside that tunnel is a nest of dragons. That would be fine, but there are about a hundred dragons!

Kem: A hundred!?

Mew Two: Yes. And they all look very hungry.

Mew: I thought dragons live in valleys.

Lightning: Charizards live in the forest. They aren't dragons, but they do have some similar characteristics, so it wouldn't be surprising to find dragons in a forest.

Mystic: And besides, he said they were in a tunnel, not the forest.

Mew Two: I found forest on the other side, too, but it was heading down into the valley.

Mew: Ha! You're wrong, Mystic!

Kem: That isn't important! All that matters is there are a whole bunch of dragons blocking the road!

Shimmer: We told you so!

Kem: You did not! You never said anything about dragons. But you know, they're just a bunch of dragons. Hey! Kuja!

Kuja: I'm here.

Kem: You know dragon magic, don't you?

Kuja: I do.

Kem: Couldn't you use that to hypnotize them or something?

Kuja: 1 dragon: sure. 5: maybe. 25: It's possible, but not likely. 100: no.

Kem: Damn!

Mew Two: Wait! Maybe we could find a way to isolate 1 dragon from the group, have Kuja hypnotize it, and then have it lead us safely through the nest.

Kem: Yeah! If one trusts us then maybe the whole group will trust us!

evil Thunder: How do we get 1 dragon away from the group? Don't you think they'd travel in packs or something?

Kuja: Dragons don't travel in packs. They are actually very self centered and antisocial.

Everyone else: Really?

Kuja: Oh yes. They live in a group because it's more efficient when it comes to getting food, and they will work together when necessary, but they prefer being alone to being with the group.

Kem: So our plan will work?

Kuja: It might.

Kem: There's a chance?

Kuja: Yes.

Kem: Score! Okay! Lets keep going ahead, then, and when we get closer, Kuja will do his thing and we'll get to the other side!

(They continue along the path. When they get to the point where they can see the tunnel, but are still a good distance away, they stop. There are at least 20 dragons around the entrance.)

Lightning: Look at all those dragons!

Mew Two: And there are more inside.

Kem: Well, Kuja. How does this work?

Kuja: I need one by itself.

Kem: Who do we do that?

Blossom: Maybe I can help.

Kem: How!? How!?

Blossom: Well, I'm a Charizard. Charizards aren't dragons, but we're kind of alike I guess. Maybe I can get through to them.

Mew Two: You aren't a Charizard right now.

Blossom: I know, but I still think like one. Let me try and go talk to them.

(They all give her a confused look.)

Blossom: Trust me.

Kem: Fine. Just be careful.

Blossom: Don't worry. I'll be back!

(She walks towards the dragons. Looking around the entrance to the tunnel, Blossom notices old bones. She tries not to let them bother her and keeps going. She gets to a dragon that is away from the main group.)

Blossom: Ummmmm... Hi!

(It looks at her. The size difference makes her a little nervous.)

Blossom: You're a big one, aren't you? Listen, I need your help.

(The dragon continues to stare at her. She can tell it's trying to decide whether or not it wants to eat her.)

Blossom: You're a dragon. I'm kinda like a dragon. Not now, but I usually am. This human thing is only temporary, I hope.... Any way, my friends and I want to go through your tunnel, but we need you to help us.

(The dragon is still staring at her. Blossom is beginning to suspect that her plan isn't working.)

Blossom: You really have no idea what I'm saying...

(The dragon licks it's lips. Well, I suppose dragons don't have lips... Whatever you'd call the outside of a dragon's mouth.)

Blossom: Fine. We'll just have to go to plan B.

(She kicks the dragon, turns, and runs. The dragon roars loudly and begins chasing her.)

Blossom: Success!

(Over by the others...)

Kem: What the hell is she doing!?

Kuja: I guess she gave up on the whole communication thing.

Mew: What if she can't out run it?

Mew Two: We should be more concerned about stopping it. It's heading right for us.

Mystic: She really should have put more thought into this...

Kem: Okay! We need to get farther away! Except for Two and Kuja!

Mew Two and Kuja: WHAT!?

Kem: Mew Two! You will paralyze the dragon, and Kuja will hypnotize it! Got it!?

(Kuja and Mew Two nod, though they don't look to happy about it. Kem and the others run to safety. Kuja and Two wait for the dragon to get closer.)

Mew Two: You're sure you can do this?

Kuja: I KNOW I can do this. I'm more concerned about you messing up your job.

Mew Two: I don't want to die in this human body so I'm not about to screw this up.

Kuja: Good.

(They look back towards the dragon. Blossom is running just barely out of the dragon's reach.)

Blossom: (running) I'm beginning to think- (pause) That this was- (pause) A bad idea!

(The dragon roars loudly at her. She continues running. She sees Mew Two and Kuja straight ahead near the tree line. She runs straight at them.)

Blossom: Almost there!

(When she gets near the trees, she dives at them. She crashes into Kuja. Mew Two paralyzes the dragon.)

Kuja: Ow!

Blossom: Ow....

Mew Two: Blossom! Get off him so he can do his job!

Blossom: (getting up) Right. Sorry.

Kuja: (getting up) It's okay. (fixing his hair) Okay.

(He walks up to the dragon and looks at it. Then he puts his hands on the dragons head. It doesn't look like he's doing anything. The dragon is struggling to break free.)

Kuja: Listen. You need to settle down. I'm not here to hurt you. I can't say the same about Mew Two... He likes to hurt things, but you can trust me. Just relax.

(The dragon stops moving. Kuja motions for Mew Two to release the dragon. He reluctantly lets it go. The dragon looks angrily at Mew Two and then down at Kuja. Kuja smiles at the dragon. It starts wagging it's tail. Kem and the others enter the clearing.)

Kem: What the...

Mew: Why is that dragon wagging it's tail?

Kuja: He's happy! (in an annoying baby talk voice) You're a happy dragon, aren't you?

(The dragon wags it's tail and puts it's head where Kuja can reach it. Kuja pats the dragon on the head.)

Kuja: Good boy.

Kem: Okay! Ask it to help us get through the nest!

Kuja: I will ask HIM to help. (Turning to the dragon) Could you be a dear and help us?

(The dragon nods yes.)

Kuja: Wonderful! Listen, my friends and I need to get through your nest. Do you think you can escort us through so your friends don't get angry? I would really appreciate it if you did.

(The dragon nods yes and puts his head down.)

Kuja: He wants us to get on. He said he would carry us through.

Kem: Cool! Lets go!

(Everyone gets onto the dragon. Kuja gives him the word and the dragon begins walking back towards the nest.)

Kem: Now, Mew Two, are you sure the dragons were the only issue we had with this place?

Mew Two: They're all I noticed.

Lightning: How much forest was left on the other side?

Mew Two: Not much. About a mile more to the west.

Mew: Did you see what was on the other side of that?

Mew Two: I didn't.

Stardust: The Valley of the Fairies lies on the other side of the forest.

Kem: You mean that place we were at while I was asleep?

Shimmer: Yep! The others will be really excited to meet your Pokémon!

Mystic: We aren't exactly Pokémon at the moment...

Stardust: That's okay. They'll be happy to meet you, any way. You're friends of the chosen one!

Kem: You know, I was thinking.

Kuja: About what?

Kem: Well, earlier, Crystal told us about a missing fairy.

Shimmer: Oh yeah!

Kem: I know she disappeared a long time ago-

Stardust: Almost 21 years ago.

Kem: Right. What do you suppose happened to her?

Shimmer: Maybe she was kidnapped along with the Dream Crystal.

evil Thunder: Maybe she stole it for herself.

Blossom: What if she was trying to protect it from something?

(Everyone looks at her.)

Mew Two: What makes you say that?

Blossom: I dunno. I was just trying to give her some credit. Not everyone is bad, you know.

Kem: Yeah. Blossom's right. She may have been trying to help.

Stardust: But if there had been a problem, I'm sure Crystal would have noticed. She's been our leader for a very long time. She would never not notice when something is wrong.

Blossom: It was just a suggestion.

(They sit in silence for awhile. The dragon is getting closer to the nest. Kuja is thinking about the missing fairy.)

Kuja: *thinking* I wonder why Kem brought that up now... Maybe she thinks there's some kind of connection between that fairy and this whole mess. I bet there is! Blossom must think so, too. But what would she know about it? Unless...

Kem: Kuja!

Kuja: Yeah?

Kem: Are you sure this dragon isn't going to feed us to his friends?

Kuja: Of course. He is completely under my control.

Kem: Good. Well, you should pay attention, just in case.

Kuja: I will. *thinking* Kem... Where was I? Oh! I think Blossom knows more than she's letting on. But does she know that?

(The dragon carries them into the tunnel. No one moves. They're all afraid of startling the dragons. When the dragon they are riding makes it trough the nest, they ride it to the edge of the clearing. Everyone gets off.)

Kuja: Thank you so very much. You may leave now.

(The dragon licks Kuja and runs back towards the nest.)

Kem: That was... Nice....

Kuja: He was a very nice dragon.

Mew: Well, where to now?

Shimmer: We need to keep going till we reach the Valley of the Fairies. We should arrive there within the hour.

Kem: Awesome! Lets go!

(They head off into the forest.)
