The Pikachu and Mew Show
(It is a few hours later. The sun is setting and it is getting dark in the valley. Our friends walk out of the forest. They are exhausted.)
Mew: Are we there yet!?
Mystic: I'm tired!
Kem: Stop whining! How close are we to the palace now?
Stardust: We have to go through this valley and the palace shouldn't be too far after that.
Kem: What's in this valley?
Shimmer: Our home is in this valley.
Kem: Where you had me earlier?
Stardust: That's right.
Mew Two: Do you suppose we could rest there for a while?
Shimmer: Of course! Crystal won't mind if you stay at all!
Kuja: Good. I really need to brush my hair.
Kem: Lets go, then.
(They continue into the valley. After a few minutes, they arrive near a waterfall. Kem recognizes this as the place the fairies had taken her to earlier.)
Kem: This is it! I was here while I was sleeping!
Stardust: You sure were. This is the Valley of the Fairies.
Kem: Where are all the fairies?
Crystal: (coming out from behind a rock) Shimmer? Stardust? Kem! It's you!
Shimmer: Yep! We brought Kem!
Crystal: Who are those other humans?
Stardust: Those are Kem's Pokémon. They became human by accident or something like that.
Crystal: So they are friends?
Kem: That's right.
Crystal: Thank goodness. (turning around) You can come out, everyone!
(Fairies begin flying out of caves and from behind rocks.)
Stardust: Do you mind if they stay and rest here for awhile, Crystal? They've come a long way and are very tired.
Crystal: Of course they can stay.
Mew: Yay!
(She drops down to the ground and lays there resting her head on a rock. Mystic does the same thing a few feet away.)
Kuja: (looking at the ground) I'm not sitting there. My skirt will get all stained and dirty.
Crystal: Kem, who is he?
Kem: That's Kuja. He's going to fight Serenity.
Crystal: (looking him over) You're kidding, right?
Kem: Nope. He's my help.
Crystal: Oh dear...
Mew Two: Why don't you sit on a rock or something?
Kuja: Those are dirty, too.
Blossom: You're just going to stand, then?
Kuja: If these fairies don't have a chair for me.
Kem: (taking off her hoodie) Sit on that, Kuja. I'm kinda warm any way.
Kuja: Thanks, Kem! Oh! That purple looks just splendid on you! Why did you cover it up with that hoodie?
Kem: I was cold.
Kuja: Oh well. I like that outfit. It looks good on you.
Kem: Thanks.
(They all sit down. After 10 minutes, Mystic and Mew are asleep, Kuja has brushed his hair in 3 sets of 173 strokes, Kem has changed her hair and is talking to Crystal, and Mew Two has beaten Blossom 35 times at Tic-Tac-Toe.)
Blossom: Not fair!
Mew Two: I told you every time, Blossom. Starting there is your fatal error, but you never listen.
Blossom: (drawing a new board in the dirt) That's what you want me to think!
(She begins with the same move. Mew Two ends up beating her in 3 moves like always.)
Blossom: How do you-
Mew Two: Stop starting in that spot!
Blossom: Forget that. I'm going to go hang out with someone else.
Mew Two: Go ahead. I was getting tired of beating you any way.
Blossom: You want to take this outside!?
Mew Two: We are outside.
Blossom: Lets go then!
Mew Two: I'm not going to beat you up, too. That would be adding injury to insult, and I don't want to do that.
Blossom: Grrrrrr.... I hate you!
(She walks away.)
Mew Two: Bye!
Kuja: (brushing his hair) Stop being such a smart mouthed brat.
Mew Two: What? I was just saying "bye". I was TRYING to be polite.
Kuja: SURE you were.
Mew Two: I was! Really, I was!
Kuja: That's what they all say.
Mew Two: What ever.
(He sits quietly writing something in the dirt. Kuja watches him wile brushing his hair.)
Kuja: What are you doing?
Mew Two: Thins human thing is still bothering me. I'm not sure how to change us back. I'm trying to figure out what caused this and how to fix it.
(Kuja watches him some more.)
Mew Two: (thinking out loud) Hmmmmm.... If I multiply that by 7, subtract 9, and divide the result by 15...
Kuja: Okay...
Mew Two: Quiet! This makes perfect sense.
Kuja: There's no math involved here, Mew Two. From what I heard, the spore made you human.
Mew Two: I'll have you know that you can use math to solve anything.
Kuja: If you say so...
(Over by Kem...)
Blossom: ... and I think he was cheating, ut I'm not sure.
Kem: It's just a game, Blossom.
Blossom: What ever. So, what are you doing?
Kem: Just hanging out. I want to sleep but I'm not really tired.
Blossom: I suppose that could be a problem.
Kem: Yeah. What are you doing?
Blossom: I was playing tic-tac-toe with Mew Two, but I decided to quit that before he beat me again.
(The 2 Thunders and Lightning sit down next to Kem and Blossom.)
Thunder: Kem! We're bored!
evil Thunder: Can't we go fight that evil witch lady now?
Kem: She's a sorceress, and no, we can't.
Thunder and evil Thunder: WHY NOT!?
Kem: Because we aren't ready yet.
Thunder: Sure we are.
Lightning: If you remember, Kuja is the one who is going to fight her, and he's a little busy right now.
(They look over to Kuja who is still brushing his hair.)
evil Thunder: I wish he was less of a girl so we could go kick some a**.
Kem: And how would you do that?
Thunder: Didn't we tell you?
Lightning: We still have our powers.
(He fires a thunder bolt at a tree. It hits and splits the tree in half. Both halves start on fire. The Thunder run and stomp it out.)
Kem: Great! What about you, Blossom?
Blossom: I haven't exactly tried... But I will now.
(Blossom closes her eyes and concentrates really hard on lighting a nearby tree stump on fire with her powers, but nothing happens. She tries for several minutes, but no fire comes.)
Blossom: (looking sadly at the ground) I don't think I have mine.
Thunder: That's okay, Blossom! We'll look after you! As long as we have our powers, you've got nothing to worry about!
(Instead of cheering her up, this thought makes Blossom more upset.)
Blossom: I don't want you or anyone else to protect me! I can protect myself!
(She stomps off.)
evil Thunder: What's her problem?
Kem: Oh no... I'll go talk to her. But I don't want to go alone... I'll get Kuja!
(She goes over to Kuja, explains the situation, and together, they go to talk to Blossom. They follow the path in the direction she went, but they find no sign of her.)
Kem: Where could she be!?
Kuja: I have no idea... She couldn't have gone too far- (listening) Did you hear that?
Kem: Hear what?
Kuja: (listening) Someone is- Is crying...
(Kem listens. She hears it too. Kem and Kuja look at each other. They know exactly who it is.)
Kem: Something must be really wrong... Blossom doesn't normally cry... In fact, I've never heard her cry about anything ever.
Kuja: Well, lets just try and calm her down a little.
(Mew Two runs up to them)
Mew Two: I have it! I figured it out!
Kem: What?
Mew Two: I know how to turn us back!
Kem: That's great, sweet heart, it really is, but we have to go help Blossom. You sit tight for one second-
Mew Two: What's wrong with Blossom?
Kuja: She's really upset about something. I bet she's sad about feeling weak and helpless again.
Kem: That's exactly it. She's said something about this before?
Kuja: Yeah. On the boat.
Mew Two: I bet I can solve this. Let me handle it.
Kuja: I don't know if that's a very good idea-
Mew Two: Don't worry about it. I'll be back.
(He runs off towards Blossom. Kem and Kuja shake their heads. Over by Blossom, Mew Two tries to sneak up quietly behind her. He was afraid she would attack him if she saw him coming.)
Mew Two: Hello, Blossom.
Blossom: (with her back to him) Go away.
Mew Two: I would, but I have some great news I thought you might like to hear.
Blossom: Whatever it is, I probably don't care-
Mew Two: Oh yes you will. (Sitting down next to her) I figured out how to change us back.
Blossom: (Turning to face him) You did!?
Mew Two: I think so.
Blossom: How!?
Mew Two: Well, according to my calculations, if we all ingest more of the spore that transformed us, we should be able to change back. It's so simple... I can't believe it took me this long to figure it out.
Blossom: Really!? You REALLY think that will work!?
Mew Two: It should. It has to... If it doesn't... Well, lets not worry about that.
Blossom: Well, where do we get this spore?
Mew Two: The only plants that produce it are at the Palace of Dreams, so that's where we need to go to get it.
Blossom: Well, we're already on our way there, so this works out great for us!
Mew Two: I guess so.
(They sit in silence for a minute. Then Mew Two starts to get up)
Mew Two: Well, Kem is really worried about you. You should go talk to her.
Blossom: Okay.
(She watches Mew Two start to walk away.)
Blossom: Hey!
Mew Two: (looking back) What?
Blossom: You really kept beating me because I always started in the same square?
Mew Two: Yes. You'll never win if you keep starting there.
Blossom: Hmmmm...
(Mew Two walks away. A few minutes later, Blossom goes back. She finds the others getting ready to leave.)
Kem: Are you feeling better, Blossom?
Blossom: Well, kinda.
Kem: If you want to talk about it, I don't mind listening.
Blossom: I know.
Kem: Good. Well, shall we go?
Kuja: I'm ready!
evil Thunder: Yes! Lets go beat up some bad guys!
(Kem and friends say good-bye to the fairies and head off into Nightmare Valley. Crystal and Faith, the future leader of the fairies, watch as they disappear into the valley.)
Crystal: You know, Faith, there's something different about this group.
Faith: Different compared to who?
Crystal: Compared to the last group that came to stop Serenity the last time tried this.
Faith: Wasn't that like 200 years ago?
Crystal: I am not that old! It was only 100 years ago.
Faith: Sorry... What's so different about this group?
Crystal: I think this group actually stands a chance of winning.
Faith: You think they can?
Crystal: I know they can. Kem is the most organized chosen one we've had in centuries. She's in complete control of her group and she knows that they won't let her down.
Faith: I noticed that too. She acted as if she would trust them with anything. Was the last group a little less trusting?
Crystal: Oh yes. They fought more amongst themselves than they did against their enemies. It was a wonder they made it as far as they did.
Faith: How far did they get?
Crystal: They were defeated in Nightmare Valley by Serenity's minions before they were able to reach the palace. Serenity would have taken over our world, but the Princess Serenity was able to awaken and scare her off for awhile.
Faith: Oh. (pause) I was thinking... Kem said that Kuja was going to fight Serenity for them.
Crystal: Yes. Kem says that he is quite the sorcerer himself.
Faith: Why is there a chosen one if they don't have to fight?
Crystal: The prophecy never said the chosen one fights the evil. It says that chosen one leads the fight against the evil. If you really read into the prophecies, you'll learn that the chosen one is meant to guide the spirit of destiny.
Faith: What's that?
Crystal: You're taking my job when I retire and you don't know about the spirit of destiny?
Faith: I haven't gotten that far in the prophecies yet. I'm sorry...
Crystal: You're still young. You have time. It's okay. The spirit of destiny is the one who will defeat the evil in the end.
Faith: So the chosen one is the person with the proper knowledge to lead the spirit of destiny, who will defeat Serenity?
Crystal: Yes.
Faith: Does that make Kuja the spirit of destiny?
Crystal: Not necessarily. You see, I'm not allowed to tell the chosen one, or anyone else for that matter, the full prophecy. If a person is the true chosen one, they will find the spirit of destiny and they will lead that individual to victory without knowing it before hand.
Faith: Why can you tell me this?
Crystal: You're going to be the next leader of the fairies. Consider me telling you that as part of your training, but remember, no telling anyone.
Faith: Okay.
Crystal: Do you understand now?
Faith: I think so. But if the spirit of destiny isn't Kuja-
Crystal: I never said it wasn't Kuja, though I don't really think it is, I just said that if Kem is truly the chosen one, she WILL find the spirit of destiny and defeat Serenity.
Faith: Well, I hope she is. I'd hate to see anything bad happen to her. Kem is really nice. And her friends are great, too.
Crystal: I have a good feeling about them. They'll win.
Faith: But I wonder which of her friends is the spirit...
Crystal: We'll know soon enough. Come now. It seems to me that you have some reading to do if you want to be a good high fairy like me.
Faith: Okay.
(Faith and Crystal fly into a nearby cave.)
