(It's a bright, summer day in the Viridian Forest. A small charmander is looking at an even smaller charmander that is asleep in the grass. The larger charmander doesn't look so happy about the little one being there. He pokes her so she wakes up.)

Whitefire: (to the little charmander) I hate you, Blossom.

(The little charmander smiles up at him.)

Whitefire: Stop that! I said I hate you!

Blossom: (happily) Hate you!

Whitefire: You can't hate me! I'm bigger than you!

Blossom: (happily) Hate Whitefire!

Whitefire: Grrrrrr.... I'm telling mom! I'm telling mom that you said you hate me!

(He runs into the woods. Blossom is lying all alone in the grass. She tries to get up, but she's not doing so well. She decides that it's too hard and is about to cry when a shiny light appears above her. She tries to catch it, but it's to fast. It lands on her little charmander paw/hand/claw thing. It turns into a fairy that is holding something that is almost as big as the fairy itself)

Shine: Hello.

Blossom: (happily) Hello!

Shine: I'm going to have you look after something for me, okay?

Blossom: (happily) Okay!

Shine: Good. *thinking* I hope this is what you wanted, Princess Serenity...

(There is a bright flash of light. When it goes away, Shine and the thing she was holding are gone. All that remains is Blossom, the baby charmander, with a strange lump in her tail.)
