Winter exists only to spite me

(It was a cold winter day. Lightning, Mew Two, and Blossom are sitting in the house by the fireplace.)

Blossom: IT’S COLD!

Mew Two: That doesn’t mean you need to yell.

Lightning: For shizzle.

(Blossom and Mew Two look at him)

Lightning: Never mind.

Blossom: Not only am I cold, but I’m bored, too.

Mew Two: I agree.

Lightning: What do you want to do?

Blossom: Make it not cold.

Mew Two: Winter is always cold in the northern hemisphere.

Blossom: Then we should fly south.

Lightning: be more positive, Blossom. I think we should go outside and build snow sculptures!

Mew Two: All right.

Blossom: NO!

(Five minutes later, they are outside.)

Lightning: Isn’t this fun!?

Blossom: No! It’s too cold!

Mew Two: Silence! I am having a fine time.

(They see something moving in the snow in the yard next to theirs.)

Blossom: Hey... What’s that?

Mew Two: Yeah. I wonder what that is. I suppose we could go see...

Lightning: But that’s Ash’s yard. I hear his mom jumps out and offers you baked goods if you go over there.

Blossom: Scary!

Mew Two: We braved Wal Mart, so I think we can handle Ash’s mom. Lets go already.

Blossom and Lightning: Okay...

(They sneak into the next yard. They see the movement in the snow again. They walk over to it. Then, they fall into the ground along with a whole lot of cold, wet snow.)

Blossom: MY TAIL! Oh! The flame! It’s out! It’s out!

Mew Two: It is not. Look.

(She looks at it. Sure enough, the flame is still there. She blasts her tail with a flame thrower attack. It narrowly misses Mew Two.)

Mew Two: What are you doing!?

Blossom: I’m just making sure it’s okay.

Lightning: You guys! Why don’t you stop fighting and worry about what happened!

Blossom: Hey! Where are we!? We were in Ash’s yard a minute ago...

Mew Two: It appears that we have fallen into a hole.

Lightning: Look! There’s a tunnel. Should we follow it?

Blossom: (looking up) That’s the only option we have. That hole’s way too high up.

Mew Two: Let us go, then.

(They begin walking down the tunnel. Everything was just peachy until they saw something run past them down a new, dark tunnel.)

Lightning: What the hell was that!?

Blossom: I don’t know!

Mew Two: Lets follow it.

Lightning: Do we have to? I don’t want to die!

Mew Two: You won’t die. Come now.

(They turn down the dark pathway. They use Blossom’s tail flame to light the way. After walking for what seemed like hours, they reached a dead end.)

Lightning: Now what?

Blossom: (raising her tail up) It looks like there’s a door up there.

Mew Two: Lets see where it leads.

Lightning: How are we going to get up there?

(They turn around. Behind them is a ladder. They begin climbing up the ladder. At the top, they find a trap door. Mew Two pushes it open.)

Mew Two: (sticking his head out) This can’t be right... I must be seeing things...

Lightning: What!? What do you see!? Is it a monster!?

Mew Two: No.. Its.. It looks like...

Blossom: Spit it out!

Mew Two: Wal Mart...

Blossom and Lightning: Wal Mart!?

Mew Two: Yes. Wal Mart.

(They climb out.)

Blossom: This is Wal Mart, all right...

Lightning: How did we end up here?

Mew Two: The real question is why is there a tunnel leading from Ash’s back yard to Wal Mart.

Blossom: Maybe he’d rather steal things than buy them.

Lightning: But we fell at least 20 feet. I don’t think that tunnel was supposed to stop there. We just hit a weak spot.

Mew Two: I think you’re right. But why was the tunnel constructed?

Monster: What’s it to you!?

(They turn around to see the Wal Mart monster standing there.)

Mew Two: It’s you!

Monster: Yes! It is I! The Wal Mart monster! Fear me!

Blossom: Ummmmmm..... No.

Lightning: What are you doing this time?

Monster: Well, after you foiled my fork and toaster plan, I devised a new plan that will allow me to destroy you AND take over the world!

Blossom: Really? What is your new plan?

Monster: I’m glad you asked! I dug this tunnel from here to the Lake of Rage by way of your house! I’ll hit the lake and the water will flood this store and your house and you will die and the world will be mine! I’ll even draw you a map:

Mew Two: How do you end up ruling the world by flooding our house and Wal Mart?

Monster: Shut up! It works!

Blossom: How do you figure? Maybe if one of us ruled the world, it might work...

Lightning: Yeah. And now that we know, we won’t go home.

Monster: You will too! I have a plan to make you go home!

Mew Two: And that is..

Monster: My cousin! He’s the monster at the Wal Mart across town!

Blossom: Lovely. Well, I think it’s time we go home now.

Mew Two: We can’t go home. We have to stop him again.

Lightning: Why? His plan is stupid. There isn’t enough water in the lake to get here.

Mew Two: But if he drains the lake, there will be other problems.

Monster: You won’t stop me and you’ll like it! Bwahahahahahaha!

(He runs away)

Mew Two: Now, we need to find a way out of here.

(They walk to the main entrance.)

Blossom: Should I open it?

Lightning: That would be nice.

Blossom: Shut up.

(She pulls the door. It won’t open. She then decides that violence will be the best solution, so she punches the glass. The door shatters and she folds her wings and steps through. Lightning and Mew Two follow.)

Mew Two: You could have found a less destructive way of doing that.

Blossom: And you could shut up.

Lightning: Stop that! How do we get all the way to the Lake of Rage in time to stop him?

Mew Two: Well I can-

Blossom and Lightning: (imitating Mew Two) “Well I can teleport. I’ll see you there.”

Mew Two: That’s exactly what I was going to say! See you later!

(He teleports away.)

Lightning: Do you want to steal another fork and toaster truck?

Blossom: No. We need a new idea.

Lightning: We could take the tunnel.

Blossom: The Wal Mart monster is probably in there. Wait! I’ve got it! We need Mew!

(They run to the Happy Land Day Care Center. Mew is sitting by a doll house with some other girls.)

Blossom: Hi Mew!

Mew: Hi! What’s up?

Lightning: We need your help.

Mew: With what?

Blossom: Can you help us teleport to the lake?

Mew: I could teleport myself that far, but I could only get the three of us as far as Mt. Silver.

Blossom: We’ll take it.

Mew: Kay! Tell teacher I’ll be back, Sandy.

Sandy: Okay, Mew!

(Mew teleports away with Blossom and Lightning. They appear at Mt. Silver.)

Mew: Well, there you go!

Lightning: Now can you teleport us the rest of the way?

Mew: Not if I have any plans of going back to day care. I wouldn’t have the strength to after taking you two to the lake.

Blossom: Okay. Thanks, any way. We’ll see you later!

Mew: Bye!

(She teleports away.)

Lightning: Okay. How do we get to the lake?

Blossom: Well, first we have to get down the mountain.

Lightning: How?

(She looks around. Then she stops.)

Blossom: There!

Lightning: What?

Blossom: We can buy skis and ski down the mountain!

Lightning: But-

(Blossom grabs him and drags him to the ski shop. She reaches into her jacket pocket and pulls out some money.)

Lightning: Whoa! You have almost $5,000 there! Where’d you get that!?

Blossom: I’ve been saving if for a rainy day. Today is kinda snowy, and I figure that’s the same idea.

(They walk up to the counter.)

Clerk: Hello. How can I help you?

Blossom: Well, we need some skis- No! Lets try snow boards, Lightning!

Lightning: Okay.

Clerk: You want some snow boards, then? Well, here are all the boards I have. Feel free to look at them all and let me know what you decide.

Blossom: Okay! Thank you! Let me see... I like this one!

Lightning: It’s pink with a Charizard on it.

Blossom: And that’s why it’s cool! Which one do you want?

Lightning: I’ll take the Raichu one.

Blossom: Okay.

(They take the boards to the counter and pay for them. Then they go outside.)

Lightning: I’ve never done this before, so don’t go to fast.

Blossom: It’s easy! You’ll catch on really fast! Come on.

(She starts off down the mountain.)

Lightning: I’m going to die!

(He follows. Very slowly. They keep going for awhile until they reach a cliff. Blossom makes a perfect stop, but Lightning keeps going. She grabs him just before he goes over.)

Lightning: Thanks.

Blossom: No problem. Now, how do we get across this big hole?

Lightning: I’m not sure.

Blossom: It looks like were going to have to fly, Lightning.

Lightning: Okay... But don’t drop me.

(She picks him up, snow board and all, and flies over the hole. When they reach the other side, they find out that it’s very steep. Blossom drops Lightning.)

Blossom: I’ll see you at the bottom.

Lightning: BLOSSOM!

(He goes down the mountain.)

Blossom: Now it’s my turn!

(She lands and shoots straight down the mountain. She folds her wings up to go faster. After a little while, she catches up with Lightning, who is still screaming.)

Lightning: I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU SO MUCH! I’M GOING TO DIE AND ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!

Blossom: Shut up! You are not!

(They continue down the mountain. After a few minutes, they reach the bottom. Again, Blossom makes a perfect stop while Lightning crashes into a snow pile at the edge of a parking lot.)

Blossom: Whee! That was fun!

Lightning: Climbing out of the snow pile) Lets not do that again. Hey! Where’s my board!?

Blossom: on your feet, dear.

Lightning: Oh yeah! Say, where are we?

Blossom: You know, I have no idea.

(They take their snow boards and begin walking into the town. When they get into the town, they meet a group of kids. They stop to talk to them.)

Blossom: Hello.

Kid: Hi,

Lightning: Can you tell us where we are?

Kid. Sure. You’re in Snow Land City Village Town.

Blossom and Lightning: Snow Land City Village Town?

Kid: Yep.

Lightning: Ummmmmm... Thank you.

(They walk away.)

Blossom: Where the hell is Snow Land City Village town?

Lightning: I’m not sure. I wish we had a map.

(They see a sigh with a map on it.)

Lightning: That’s creepy.

(They walk over to the sign. It has a map of Johto on it.)

Blossom: Okay. According to this map, we are in Snow Land City Village Town and that is about a half mile from Blackthorn City, which is 5 miles from Mahogany Town, which is a mile south of the lake.

Lightning: We have six and a half miles to go!? That’s at least a two hour walk!

Blossom: double that. We have to go through the ice cave, too, and that will be two hours by itself.

Lightning: there was to be a faster way.

(Blossom looks around. She stops suddenly.)

Blossom: Maybe there is... Come on!

(Meanwhile, at the lake...)

Mew Two: *sigh* Where are they? I suppose it will take them a long time to get here. Hey! What’s that?

(He looks at the water. There are bubbles in the middle of the lake.)

Mew Two: Oh no! What if he has already began draining the lake!? I had better go look.

(He teleports to the center of the lake and floats above it. He stares down into the water. The bubbles suddenly stop.)

Mew Two: That’s strange...

(He hear s aloud splash behind him. Then a long growl. He turns to find a large, red Gyrados glaring at him.)

Mew Two: Ummmmmmm.... Hello...

(It just stares at him and growls.)

Mew Two: Lovely weather we’re having, isn’t it? It’s a little cold, but-

(The Gyrados tries to bite him.)

Mew Two: Now that was uncalled for!

(He paralyzes the Gyrados and throws it across the lake. It breaks through the ice and sinks back into the water.)

Mew Two: Moron. *sigh* Lightning and Blossom had better get here soon.

(Back with Lightning and Blossom...)

Blossom: Okay. Are you ready to go, Lightning?

Lightning: As ready as I’ll ever be... You won’t let me die, will you?

Blossom: Of course not! Just hold on tight.

Lightning: I’ll try...

(Lightning is standing on his snow board. He is holding two ropes that are tied to Blossom. Blossom takes off. Lightning holds on as tight as he can as she flies along. After a few minutes of flying, he lets go of the ropes.)

Lightning: AHHHHHH!!!!!

Blossom: Stop screaming! You sound like you’re scared or something.

(Lightning lands in the river, just like they had planned. Oh wait... You never heard the plan. Oops... My bad. You see, Blossom was going to fly them to the river that leads to the lake. Then they would surf down the river on the snow boards. Any way, Lightning lands in the river and is covered in the freezing cold water.)

Lightning: COLD!

Blossom: (gently landing on the river) Oh, you whine too much.

(She uses her flame thrower attack to dry him off.)

Lightning: HOT!!!

Blossom: Will you make up your mind already!? Gosh! Now, we just surf for 3 miles and we’ll be there!

Lightning: I wish I wasn’t afraid of flying. Believe it or not, I prefer this to flying, even though flying would be much easier.

Blossom: I know. That’s sad.

(They surf down the river. After 20 minutes or so, they run into a problem.

Lightning: AHHHHHH!!!!

Blossom: What!?

Lightning: Waterfall!

Blossom: Crap!

(She takes off.)

Lightning: HEY! What about me! You said you wouldn’t let me die!!!

Blossom: I know! I know! Just wait a second!

Lightning: I DON”T HAVE A SECOND!!!

(She flies over and picks him up.)

Blossom: There. Are you happy now?

Lightning: Yes, than you. Hey!! There’s the lake! And Mew Two!

(They land on the snow covered beach next to Mew Two, who is hover meditating.)

Mew Two: (with his eyes still closed.)Its-

Blossom and Lightning: (imitating Mew Two) “... about time. Where have you been?”

Mew Two: Am I really that predictable?

Lightning and Blossom: Yes.

Lightning: Any way, what has been happening here?

Mew Two: Nothing. It has been fairly quiet here except for when the red Gyrados tried to eat me.

(All of the sudden, the ground starts shaking. Then a huge hole opens up a few feet away from our friends. A giant machine emerges from the hole. The Wal Mart monster climbs out of it.)

Monster: Damn it, Zorro! You surfaced too soon!

(Another monster comes out. He looks exactly like the first Wal Mart monster, only he has the Zorro smiley face instead of the Indiana Jones smiley face his cousin has.)

Zorro Monster: Sorry.

Monster: Get back in there and do it again!

Blossom: Stop right there, Wal Mart monsters!

Mew Two: We aren’t going to let you drain the lake!

Lightning: For some reason... So just go back to Wal Mart!

Monster: No! I shall rule the world!

Mew Two: No! That’s my job!

(He blows up the digging machine with his powers. The Wal Mart monsters run away from the explosion.)

Monster: Hey! Now I can’t drain the lake! Shoot! You beat me again!

Zorro Monster: They beat you a first time?

Monster: Yes! Unfortunately... You haven’t seen the last of me! Come, Zorro!

(The monsters run away.)

Mew Two: Now, let me dispose of the evidence.

(He uses his powers to put the wrecked machine into the hole and fill in the tunnel.

Lightning: What did you need us for?

Mew Two: Moral support. And Blossom is the enforcer. If there had been a fight, I would have needed her to do the fighting. Violence is the language of lesser beasts, kind of like Blossom.

Blossom: Shut up.

Lightning: *sigh* Lets go home.

Mew Two: Okay. I can teleport us to Mahogany Town. From there we can take a bus to Goldenrod, and from there we can take the magnet train to Saffron. I should be able to teleport us home from there.

Blossom: Okay. Hey! Do you guys want to go snow boarding when we get home?

Lightning: No!
