A feud with Rock is Cena's personal preference

According to ProWrestling.com , Cena mentioned in an interview over the weekend how he "could" end up feuding with Rock and "that would be his personal feud of preference". He also noted that the mic work going into the event alone would be amazing and really fun to do.

Keep in mind that this is just Cena's personal choice and nothing has been confirmed.

WWE Royal Rumble Poster Online

The WWE has relased it's Royal Rumble poster for the 2003 Co Branded Event and it features John Cena. They Royal Rumble is slated as the WWE's January PPV and will feature superstars from both the Smackdown! & Raw brands, although it is still unknown how the WWE will handle the "Royal Rumble" itself. In the past the superstar who has won the Royal Rumble was given a title shot at Wrestlemania.The Royal Rumble will take place live from The Wachovia Centre, Philadelphia, Penn.Cena who is featured on the poster has been rumored to be pushed in a match against Brock Lesnar for the Heavyweight Title on Smackdown .You can check out the poster of Royal Rumble featuring John Cena on the left side .

Chris Benoit def. John Cena

The crowd was about 66/33 with Cena getting the majority. Cena starts with a funny rap. I won't spoil it, but Neverland Ranch was mentioned. Good match. Very back and forth. Benoit misses a Flying Headbutt and Cena comes back with an F-U. He gets the pin but the ref doesn't see Benoit's foot on the rope. Cena wins...until another referee comes out and the two refs talk and the match was re-started. Benoit pretty much owns Cena this time around. Benoit botched the Crossface when he went for it and Cena slipped out his grasp and slammed into the mat. Looked painful and Cena was favoring his arm for the rest of the night. Benoit aimed for the arm for the rest of the night. At this point, Big Show interfered. It didn't really matter, as Cena just punched his off the apron. With the distraction, Benoit wins when Cena taps out of the Crossface. Show had a big smile on his face after Cena lost.

John Cena Vs. A-Train is next...Good Match for getting Cena some babyface time...The crowd likes Cena...The match was not bad but just a little slow back and forth action for about 5 minutes until several false finishes that saw both wrestlers hit their finishers...Cena hits the FU for the win...probably the best A-Train match in a while.

Coming out next was the 20 man battle royal...All night long I had a clear view when this kid 2 rows in front starts to stand up on the rail annoying his parents and making people mad all around...I really only got to see the last eliminations but finish goes of like this.

Final 4 is Cena, Benoit, Guerrero and Shelton Benjamin...Cluster finish sees Eddie eliminated after FU from Cena and a sick looking super kick from Benjamin...Benjamin gets tossed by both Benoit and Cena...Down to Cena and Benoit for some action...after a couple of minutes both men eliminate each other with both Benoit and Cena's feet hitting the floor at the same time, 2 refs see the same thing as each man claims victory.

Brock Lesnar comes out and adds fuel to the fire, Heyman's out next to see what the refs’ decision was...He begins to interrogate each ref and they all screw up the script...the ref mistake the stipulation and screwed up what was going on...Cena says "next week" when they said tonight for the WWE title match...someone with a headset at ringside comes up, slapping the canvas, breaks up the segment saying that they screwed all up their lines and were going to re-shoot the segment...Paul covers and goes backstage to "look at the tape again"...every one gets back into place and the re-run the segment...Good Cover and not many people live noticed it.

Segment restarts with a tease of the Triple Threat but Paul backs the crowd down and says Boise doesn't deserve to see it but it's going down next week...This is where they stopped tape...Brock then lays out Cena with the Belt!...Bang!!...Benoit starts in and gets cut off then out of nowhere it's 5 on 2 at Morgan, Jones, A-Train and Big Show are out for the punk out session...Benoit and Cena are left lying...Ends with heels in the ring celebrating.(Source:Wrestling-news.com)

WWE house show report 11-22 Los Angeles

Brock Lesnar beat John Cena to retain the smackdown title.Cena got a big reaction and sold a lot of merchadise but the crowd was more into his mannerisms and rapping than seeing him wrestle.Lots of stalling early.Pretty much a slow pace and not very exciting.There was little crowd heat as I don't think they saw Cena on this level yet.There was a ref bump and Cena hit the FU for an imaginary fall.Lesnar came back with a belt shot and Hardcore Holly showed up and was choking Lesnar out when Morgan,Jones & Show came out and Holly was chokeslammed.Benoit and Bradsaw cleaned house.Lesnar used a low blow and F5 for the win so even with help from Holly Cena still loset clean.Holly & Cena closed the show by shaking hands and that was it.

Cena makes it big on SmackDown!

But just as fast as Mr. McMahon’s victory party was to begin, it came to a screeching halt when John Cena emerged from backstage. Fresh off Survivor Series, where Cena scored the pinfall to win the match for Team Angle, not only did Cena blast both Mr. McMahon and Sable in his latest rap, but later Cena would pin the Big Show 1-2-3 to bring the Houston crowd to its feet. By the end of SmackDown!, it was clear that defeating the Undertaker did not solve Mr. McMahon’s problems … in fact, his troubles may have just begun in the form of Cena – who could be the hottest young Superstar on the SmackDown! roster.

But all eyes during SmackDown! were on Cena, who not only ruined the night for Mr. McMahon, but for Brock Lesnar as well. Lesnar entered SmackDown! determined to gain a measure of revenge on the members of Team Angle, sending A-Train to face Bradshaw and Nathan Jones to meet Chris Benoit. Lesnar’s efforts would prove to be fruitless as Benoit’s victory over Jones, combined with Cena’s heroics, made it a tough night for those on Lesnar’s side. Heading into next week, expect Lesnar, McMahon, and company to be even angrier!

Vince comes out with a cast and crutches, plus stitches selling his SS match vs. Undertaker. He also comes out with Sable. Vince goes on about how UT beat him, yet an angel (Kane) from his higher power came to save the day. To thank him, Vince has invited Kane to be a special guest to deliver his brother’s “eulogy.”
Cena comes out, and dices Vince on the microphone. Cena was over.

Later in the show,John Cena beat Big Show non-title in 11:04 with a steel steps shot to the head. They did another step shot again, possibly as a re-tape for editing later.

Team Angle (Angle, Cena, Benoit, Bradshaw & Holly) vs. Team Lesnar (Lesnar, Big Show, Jones, Morgan & A-Train)

John Cena's music hit in the arena and the opening contest for tonight's event is a classic Survivor Series Match with Team Angle against Team Lesnar. When Cena got to the ring, he said this whole pay per view is ass backwards; the main event is on first. He comes through the curtains like a fetus, the rest of them are just afterbirth. Cena continued on with his rap, getting a laugh from the crowd and then the rest of Team Angle made their way out to the ring for this Survivor Series Elimination Match.The start: As Brock Lesnar attempted to get in the ring, Hardcore Holly went right at it with him, attacking him with a number of right hands and then whipping him into the steel steps. Holly continued to hammer away on Lesnar and the referee tried to restrain him but he shoved Brian Hebner down to the ground. Team Angle then restrained Holly and the referee sent Bob Holly to the back on a disqualification.Moments after they got in the ring, Bradshaw laid out A-Train with the Clothesline from Hell and then he pinned him for the three count to eliminate him.Shortly after that, Bradshaw went for the Clothesline from Hell on The Big Show but Nathan Jones hit him and then Big Show planted Bradshaw with a choke slam to eliminate him.The Big Show went for the choke slam on Chris Benoit but Benoit countered it into the Crossface but Brock immediately got in the ring to break the hold. When Kurt Angle was tagged into the match, he gave Matt Morgan a series of German suplexes and then Nathan Jones got in the ring but Angle gave him a shot to the knees to knock him down. Brock then got in the ring and Angle gave him a German suplex and then he knocked Big Show from the ring apron. Nathan went for a boot on Angle but Angle dodged it and Jones knocked Morgan down to the mat. Angle then planted Matt Morgan with the Angle Slam and then pinned him for the three count to eliminate him.The Big Show got in the ring and went to nail Angle but Angle once again dodged it and The Big Show charged right through Nathan Jones. Kurt Angle then put Nathan Jones in the ankle lock to force him to tap out. Brock Lesnar immediately got in the ring and gave Kurt Angle the F5 and then pinned him for the three count to eliminate the captain of Team Angle.Chris Benoit later put Brock Lesnar in the Crippler Crossface and Big Show was about to get in the ring but Cena got in the ring and stopped him as Lesnar countered the Crossface into a pin for a two count. Benoit maneuvered Brock back into the Crossface but Brock was able to get to the ropes. Chris Benoit finally eliminated Brock Lesnar with the Crippler Crossface, forcing him to tap out. After Brock tapped out, the fans heavily chanted "You tapped out!"The Big Show gave Chris Benoit a choke slam and being that Benoit wasn't legal, as the referee was trying to get him out of the ring, John Cena grabbed his steel chain and nailed The Big Show in the head with it and then he miraculously lifted The Big Show over his head and planted him with a very impressive FU to pick up the victory for Team Angle!

Good match. Benoit’s chops look ridiculously painful from the front row. After the match, Benoit and Cena meet eye-to-eye in the ring. Cena looks at Benoit all cocky. At first, Benoit looks like he’s going to deck Cena, but he extends his hand out to John. John answers by giving Benoit an F-U and waving his hand in front of his face, saying Benoit can’t see him. Rey Mysterio vs John Cena
Cena's intro rap was a good one. Saying that he couldn't see eye to eye with Rey because his head was at his dick.Cena called Mysterio the mexican Gary Coleman continued with a pretty funny freestyle. The match was mainly dominated by Cena but Mysterio had his moments. Cena gave Rey a vertical suplex and while rey was in the air Cena did his "You can't see me taunt."Rey went for the West Coast Pop and Cena attempted to catch him and go into the F U but he ended up just uppercutting him in the balls and Mysterio fell. Than Cena just picked him up for the F U.

Winner: Cena

After the match Heyman comes out with Brock , Big Show , Morgan and Jones. He informs Cena that he likes what he just saw at that he told him that he'd be the 5th member of Team Lesner. Cena said that no one tells him what to do. Just after saying that A-Train attacks him from behind and the rest of team Lesner enter the ring and beat on Cena. Big Show gives him a spinning chokeslam. Than Lesner grabs a chair and gives Cena a chair shot to the head. during the whole time that lesner was being beat on mysterio was laying on the side of the ring. It was funny because after team Lesner left Mysterio just all of a sudden popped

The talk backstage is that Cena's first feud as a face will be with Brock Lesnar. Some in the company are questioning that move since it seems there would be nowhere to go but down for Cena once his feud with Lesnar runs its course. Although some sources say the plan for Cena vs. Lesnar has been in place for a while now, others say the original plan was for Chris Benoit to feud with Lesnar after Survivor Series.

The start:

Chris Benoit started the match off in the ring against John Cena and the two locked it up and Cena powered Benoit into the corner and then Benoit countered it until Cena powered out of the corner. Benoit then put Cena in a side headlock and Cena whipped Benoit off the ropes and Chris Benoit came back with a thunderous shoulder block to knock John Cena down to the mat.

Mid-match notes:

Kurt Angle put the ankle lock on John Cena but A-Train immediately got in the ring and he attempted to break the ankle lock but Angle saw him and nailed him with a number of right hands into the corner.

Chris Benoit gave A-Train a German suplex and then he headed to the top rope and went for the flying headbutt but A-Train was able to roll out of the way to send Benoit crashing down to the mat.

Kurt Angle gave A-Train the Angle Slam and then John Cena grabbed Kurt Angle and gave him a release FU. Cena went for the FU on Benoit but Benoit got out of it and chopped Cena into the corner.

The finish:

Chris Benoit hooked A-Train in a German suplex and then gave him a series of suplexes and then came off the top rope with the flying headbutt to pin A-Train for the three count to pick up the win!

Winners - Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle

The Aftermath:

Angle and Benoit displayed respect for each other by shaking hands after the match. After Benoit and Angle left, Cena and A-Train remained in the ring and the two argued over why they lost the match. A-Train shoved Cena back and then Cena kicked A-Train in the nuts with a low blow and then he lifted A-Train over his head and gave him the FU to leave him laying.

Backstage:

John Cena was shown walking through the backstage area and Brock Lesnar caught up with him and congratulated him. Brock might be letting the cat out of the bag early and he doesnt know this for a fact but he thinks Paul Heyman is naming John Cena as the final member of Brocks team for Survivor Series. John Cena And A-Train Vs. Kurt Angle And Chris Benoit
John Cena comes down the ring, and says that everyone hates him because they know he's better than them. He says that he's ready to snatch back his thunder as any given chance he gets. He said all of this is a rap rhythm. His partner A-Train then comes to the ring.

The match starts: Angle against A-Train. Quick go behind by Angle, takes his opponent down, quickly into a side headlock. Big shoulder knock down by A-Train, along with hard right hands. He drags Angle to his corner, tags in Cena who goes to work on Angle. Kurt is whipped into the ropes, he's on the receiving end of a power slam, almost a three count by Cena. A-train tagged back in, a misscalulation allows Angle to hit a german suplex. Chris Benoit is tagged in, he gains momentum, and then
locks on The Sharpshooter, but A-Train delivers a clubing blow to Benoit breaking the hold.

Cena goes for a steel chain, Chris Benoit grabs a steel chair, but inadvertantly nails Angle in the back. Angle comes to and starts attacking Benoit, Chris responds with the crippler crossface. Emotions still running high from No Mercy, both men continue to assault eachoither calling

Cena Turning Face

According to a report on ImpactWrestling there's a huge possibility that Cena will turn into a face in the upcoming weeks.This is because His rapping abilities are so good; the fans are actually cheering him because they enjoy it so much. Similar things happened with The Rock not that long ago. To back this up, Cena’s match tonight at No Mercy had a “Lets Go Angle, Lets Go Cena” chant, which is quite uncommon, especially in the WWE.

WWE No Mercy John Cena vs Kurt Angle Results

John Cena's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring and this is a one on one match with John Cena against the Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle! Before the match, Cena took the mic and cut a rap on Kurt Angle.
Angle and Cena locked it up in the center of the ring and Cena started to back Angle into the corner but Angle turned the tides on Cena to slam him into the corner. The referee called for a break and he got just that. It should be noted that at the start of the match, you could hear some fans chanting "Cena, Cena!"

The fans honestly didn't know who to root for as they chanted "Let's go Cena, let's go Angle."

Angle whipped Cena into the corner and then Angle charged at him with a shoulder block but Cena moved out of the way to send Angle crashing into the ring post, shoulder first.

Kurt Angle started bleeding from the mouth during the match. Unsure what caused it.

John Cena went to the top rope and Kurt Angle hopped up and went for the belly to belly but Cena shoved him down. Cena then came off the top rope but Kurt Angle nailed him with a drop kick on the way down.

Kurt Angle went for a German suplex from the ring apron to the outside of the ring but Cena held onto the ropes and countered it with a DDT onto the ring apron.

John Cena called for the FU and he lifted Kurt Angle on his shoulders and planted him with the FU and then pinned him but only got a two count.

Cena went for the FU once again but Angle countered it with the Angle Slam and then a pin for a two count of his own.

John Cena grabbed his steel chain and then he wrapped it around his hand but the referee took it. Cena then wrapped the Gold Medals around his wrist and then he laid Angle out with them and then pinned him but only got a two count.

Cena once again went for the FU but Angle countered and put Cena in the ankle lock. Cena attempted to get to the ropes but Angle put Cena in a leg lock while he held onto the ankle lock and that forced Cena to tap out.

Cena's thoughts on Macho Mans' CD and more

Cena was asked what he thought about the Macho Mans new CD and he said it sucked and that it sounded like a wrestler trying to rap and that if you look at the cover of the CD you would see that Macho didnt even write his own lyrics.
Being that he was in Baltimore, he was playing the face role because he is facing Angle, who is from Pittsburgh, at the PPV, and if you live in Baltimore you hate Pittsburgh and you hate the Steelers.

A caller asked him about the writing issues and he really gave the best explanation that I have heard. He said that unlike other TV shows, they have no off-season, no reruns and no time to take some time off, regroup and come up with fresh ideas. He continued by saying that very often the show is written on the fly and sometimes they come up with stuff the fans like and sometimes they don’t. But, he said that it is impossible to knock the ball out of the park on every show because of the amount of shows that they put on every year. (Source:Impactwrestling.com)

Smack Down Cena Results

Cena's music hit and Kurt Angle came to the ring dressed as Cena complete with homeboy visor and Jacksonville Jaguars jersey. Angle "rapped" about how he (calling himself Cena) was so tough.Then Kurt Angle's music hit, and a midget dressed as Angle came out.The midget scared off "Cena (Angle)" eventually, then "Cena (Angle) " tried to attack him, but was taken down. The midget then put "Cena (Angle)" in the ankle lock, which made him tap out immediately. This brought out the real John Cena, and he and Angle exchanged words briefly before the midget Angle gave Cena a low blow.Some back and forth, and finally officials separated the two men.

More info on Cena's new album

Cena will release his new old school hip hop album sometime in January.Cena stated that the idea of creating an album came while he was working on his theme song "Basic Thugonomics" .The album which was supposed to feature 8-10 tracks, will now feature several more than that. Here's what he said:
“It’s a little bit of what you would see on TV, but it’s a very hip-hop-related album,” Cena said. “It’s probably not something fans are going to expect.”

He added, “I want to get the message out that I really do keep in touch with the hip-hop culture.”

Cena also said that sports-entertainment remains his No. 1 priority; therefore, there are no plans for a concert tour. “As far as live performances, that’ll be few and far between,” he said.

Cena said the album brings hip hop back to its roots, which include four fundamentals: break dancing, graffiti, MCs and DJs.

The MCs on the album are Cena and his cousin, Trademarc, who Cena credits for helping him get into freestyle rapping.“He’s got a hell of a flow,” Cena says of his cousin. There’s a guest verse by Matt Hardy on one track.

Cena picked four DJs with four distinct styles. “The album is really well-rounded,” he said. “The spectrum of beats is huge.” But he added that, like old-school hip hop, every song on the album ties together; it’s not just a random collection of singles.

Cena had no record deal or distributor in place when he started the album; he’s paid for studio time and everything else out of his own pocket because the project is a labor of love for him.

One of Cena’s goals has been to shine the spotlight on outstanding “underground” hip-hop artists who currently get no recognition,which is exactly what this album does.

“I’m extremely excited about it,” he said. “A lot of people will base success of music on record sales and millions made. I already consider this project a success because everyone involved, musically, is a nobody.

“If fans like it and feel it, they ’re feelin’ our stuff.

Cena did his rap, and had a lot of people behind him. Instead of rapping, Kurt told a story, and mentioned how Cena is trying to be black, among other things. Kurt ends up fighting with Cena.
