Heaven Won't Be the Same Without You

In 2 Peter 3:9 the Bible says, "The Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." It is true that heaven will not be the same without you, but even God in his desire to see no one perish remains unable to force you or anyone else into heaven. It will always be that your free will will be that personal power you will always retain, and by retaining it, you may or may not exercise that power to say "yes" to receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Even though in John 14:6 we can read the following: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" it most frequently is received as utter nonsense by millions upon millions. In 1 Corinthiens 1:18, the Bible says this, "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."

Now if that should represent you that if you feel that the preaching of the cross is foolishness, according to this scripture you are indeed perishing. And if you stand among the perishing, heaven will certainly not be the same without you, but you do not have to hang out with them any longer. Saying sorry or feeling sorry whereupon one arrives in hell will not suffice, will not be enough to escape hell. For from such a place there is no means of escape. In Luke 16:23 we are told of Abraham and Lazarus who was in his bosom in heaven while the rich man cried out from hell. In Luke 16 26 Abraham replies to the rich man, he says, "...between us and you there is a great gulf fixed so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot: neither can they pass to us..." In effect, the Bible spells it out quite clearly, Once in hell, forever in hell.

2 Corinthians 3:16 says, "Whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away." When this veil falls away as a result of turning to the Lord, our minds will no longer be dull as in Christ we become transformed into his likeness. Nothing like this ever occurs, as you can see, until we turn to Christ. You and that personal power which you possess over eternal life for yourself or eternal death for yourself will decide where eternitiy will be spent.

Hell will miss you if you choose Christ but you won't miss hell. By the same token, heaven will miss you if you do not choose Christ; and, you will miss heaven if you don't. In any language, the meaning comes out the same, heaven will not be the same without you, but there will still be a heaven without you.

1 Peter 5:8 asks us to, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" With this in mind, until one receives Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Saviour, it is open season for the devil on his/her soul. One does not have the protection of the blood of "...Jesus Christ which cleanses us from all sin" (1John 1:7). As well, the blood of Christ, who through "...the eternal Spirit purges our consciances from dead works to serve him" ( Hebrews 9:14).

Yes, it is true, ever so true that heaven will not be the same without you. Is there anybody in your nearness whom you know to be destined to go to heaven. If there is and this person or these people do end up there, it is for sure that after a time they will have to stop looking for you in paradise, that is, should you not appear within a certain time frame. Are they telling you anything about what it will be like where they are going? Or, are they telling you what it will be like where you are going? If they aren't telling you how to get there -- to heaven, that is -- ask them. If when you ask them, they say they don't know, then they certainly are not going either. I mean, how can one get to a destination without knowing the directions? One needs to be able to find his way home whereupon his day's work is done on earth. Likewise in the spiritual realm one needs to be able to find his way home when his life's work finishes while on earth. I don't know about you but I would certainly not want to look forward to going to a home such as hell. I'm sure no one else would want to end up in such an eternal home either.

2 Corinthians 6:2 says, "...now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." Does that speak to your heart and soul? If heaven will not be the same without you, it will likewise not be the same without those that you love. Have you told them where you are going forever?
