Don't Miss It For The World

Anybody who has visited Disney World has advice for his or her friends upon returning home. They say, "Don't miss it for the world!"

No matter the hard times, no matter the difficulties, no matter the tough breaks, no matter the unusual circumstances, no matter anything -- most people would say of their one and only walk his planet, "I would not have missed for the world." By the same token, anybody's recommendation who looks up from hell would say to you about heaven: "Don't miss it for the world."

1 John 2:15 advises us accordingly. It says, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world." It goes on to advise us thusly, "If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." The truth of this matter is that if life is too good for you to bother with Christ in this world, then eternal life for you will be without Christ, but it won't be too good. Nobody can refuse him here and want to be with him there. Do not love the world so much that you would miss out on heaven for it.

Lots of money and fine cars stay here on earth after you go on to be with your choice of heaven or hell. Your wealth and jewellery will be too heavy for a flight to heaven and if you love them more than God, their weight will be such that they could be the cause of your descent into hell. You may find it hard to accept, but there is only one God, and his name is not money. You may find it ridiculuous, but there is ony one Son, and his name is not Big Bucks.

You can say no to heaven and wallow in the hollow of your current existance or you can say yes and confess Christ and forego all resistance. Sometimes we shoot ourselves in the foot or put our foot in our mouth, becoming our own worst enemies. People who do not know Christ think that they will be welcomed by Christ into his heavenly abode. But the opposite is true. Most have chosen their own highway to the skyway. They will rely on their own schemes on how to circumvent Jesus to get into his paradise.

One speaker said that in 20 years from now we will somehow have to try to live while we watch a billion people starve to death. But enough of that truth, right. Let's focus on heaven, and the advice is, don't miss it for the world.
