Magellan's Travel Supplies I think sanitation is just common sense. Therefore, I will not go into this too much.

Camp sanitation is usually not a problem in organized campgrounds. They usually supply the garbage cans or dumpsters. The toilets and outhouses are maintained and water is piped in. Still, in order to manage flies, bugs and wild animals, you need to keep things clean.
People who leave garbage and rubbish lying around their campsite usually will have the most flies, etc.

Another way to attracted the little or big creatures, is to leave unwashed dishes sit. Wash the dishes. Drain cooking oils into a can or other type of container so that it can be disposed of right. Dish water thrown into the woods behind your tent. This will also attract things to your camp. If there is no place to drain it, bury it away from your site.
Toilet The camp latrine is a very important subject. Bathrooms or Out-houses take care of the waste. However, there could be a time these are not available. Walking into the forest with a roll of toilet paper and a smile can raise health and decency questions. Take along a shovel and dig a pit so that you can bury your waste.

Personal cleanliness is a matter of personal choice.
