An American Haiku in Copenhagen

Why aren't you indignant?

Being packed-off to summer camp
and sent-off to the camps

Admiring a new-born baby
and a painted corpse

I never understood
the story of Adam & Eve
why she did not simply
pick up an apple
fallen to the ground.

We may run into each other
on the bus,
because I take them.
I take them everywhere.
Be prepared,
I may just challenge you,
"Is this seat taken?"
Or may offer you
the seat next to mine
by moving my bag
my bag full of incantations.

It's amazing
we can take busses
all over the world.

I may even offer you my hand,
if I haven't been at chocolates
even though you're just going somewhere,
and I am always on the bus.

Dog ate my homework.
Don't even go to school,
so the whole thing's absillient.
Don't got no homework.
So what did the dog eat?
And even if,
teacher'd just get mad,
call me a damn liar
I'd be back here where I am.
No, and I'm very sad, ma'am,
dog ate my homework.
Don't got no dog, neither.
