Civilization II - Multiplayer Gold Edition GameTips -------- Tip 1: ------ Keep a large money reserve while building Wonders, just in case you have to finish a building in a hurry to beat other players. Disbanding units in the city that is building the Wonder can be a last-minute boost toward completion. Tip 2: ------ If you do not build the Great Library or its equivalent in a modified scenario, be very careful about giving technology to your friends because you will be giving it to the owner of the library as well. Tip 3: ------ In all human games, don't bother building the diplomacy-affecting Wonders such as the Great Wall or the Statue of Liberty. Civilization II: Test of Time Tip 1: ------ Airborne races have a huge initial advantage in exploration and expansion because their settlers can fly over water. Their inability to exploit barbarian villages is a small price to pay. Tip 2: ------ In the fantasy scenarios, it pays to seize control of the entrances to the underworld. There are relatively few of them, and they are easy to fortify if you move quickly; the rich underworld resources can be all yours. Tip 3: ------ In the extended basic game, remember to be prepared for a long war once the colony ships are launched. Civil War: Blue & The Grey
1) Also build units by combining new units with experience units. New unit takes on the experience of the original provide the added unit has less members. This can be done by splitting then recombining. 2) Always attack with a large army on one side of the enemy and a small unit (cavalry is best) on the other. Make sure the enemy has no adjoining units. Each victory then results in the total loss of the enemy unit. Civilization: Call to Power Start a game, choose screen, than options and than you will see cheat mode, take it and now you see a list of soldies tanks, technolegies, map... -------- GameTips -------- Tip 1 ----- Save early and save often in multiple slots. Not only do the occasional crash and the lack of an autosave make for a lot of wasted time if you don't save every ten turns or so, but sometimes the game will crash during a save, corrupting the save file itself. Tip 2 ----- The game is heavily weighted toward the defender. Unless you are facing a very weak enemy, there is little point in attacking fortified enemy cities unless you have at least two full stacks of nine units each. Tip 3 ----- The Ship of the Line is the perfect sea invasion platform. Create a stack of seven to nine Ship of the Lines, and load them up with troops. Once you get to the enemy cities, drop off the troops and then use your ships for artillery support. Blast away at the enemy cities before sending in the boys. Tip 4 ----- Go for the gold. Go to Trade and Banking. Build banks and marketplaces in all your cities. Use the gold to do slaving and convert cities. To win nearly any scenario, hunker down and set up a defensive zone. Tip 2 ----- Remember that it's just as effective to break the enemy's morale as it is to kill him; suppression can be just as effective as direct hits, so don't be afraid to fire at an area rather than a unit. Tip 3 ----- Putting a tank just behind the crest of a hill will give it the "hull down" advantage; this way, its turret can see over the hill to fire at targets, but its hull is shielded from attacks. If you're up to some real exciting game open the names.txt file. There you can alter nearly anything, like the cost of recruiting units and the appearance of the founding fathers. Put Cortes to 20 in the first position and you'll be able to recruit him as the first one. You can also alter the harvest you get from several terrains etc., so you can for example gather 50 ore from sea water if you want. The opponents have the same advantages however so be carefull how to use it. And of course, you should back up you original names.txt first. Commandos: Behind the Enemey Lines

Walk through the door to the next room make Amy talk ONCE then turn around, when you see the gorilla walk by run in. Putting the Sunstones In the Doors Before you start be sure you have the magazines in the guns. If you don't know which guns to put the magazines in than read the paragraph. If you already have the ammo in the guns then skip down to the next paragraph. First go to camp and face the front of the city. Walk once toward the city. You should be by a tree and a stream. Turn left and get the remote. Enter the front of the city. Take a left then go foward. Take a right into the povillion. Be sure you are fast at this before you start. You might want to save. Take one of the magazines and put it in the gun and pull out the remote and click on the gun before it shoots at you. Now go back to the enterance of the citty and go foward once, take a right, go foward take a left and do the same thing the this gun. Go to the door with the holes in it and you should hear some gun fire at one of the gorillas. Put one ball in the middle left, then the middle right, then the top left, then the top right, then the bottom right then the bottom left and VWALA! The door is open! Constructor These codes only work in DOS games. Enter them at the map and player select screen. Then press enter. You will hear a tone if you entered the code correctly. OTHER GREAT STUFF ----------------- While in the BioDerm facility, you can use the Ctrl - LeftBrace/ Ctrl-RightBrace to give yourself any pilot face. Command & Conquer Funpark ------- When in MS-DOS or DOS go in the C&C directory and type in "C&C FunPark". This cheat gives you hidden levels with dinosaurs and barbed wire in 2 Player mode. Sell Units - Part 1 ------------------- Send the guy or car right next to a sandbag wall and then click the sell button. The $ icon will come up. Put the $ cursor as close as the unit as you can without it becoming crossed out, then click to sell. Sell Units - Part 2 ------------------- If you are short on money or don't want the tank just put it on the repair bay. Then select the Sell button and move it on top of the tank. The cursor should turn into a green "sell" cursor. Then you click and it sells the tank. This also works for Orcas, Apaches, harvesters, APCs, and APCs full of infantry units. Sell Buildings -------------- Build a turret, obelisk, or tower. Sell the building, but cancel the sale before it disappears. You get a few minigunners every time. Sell silos ---------- When you have more than 1000 credits, buy a silo. When it gets more than three squares filled up sell it. You will not only get money for selling it, but also for the stuff inside it. Can be repeated as many times as you like. Build anywhere -------------- After building Com. Center, click on a moveable unit. Then build a structure, but don't place it. Scroll the screen so there is a building with enough cells on its right side to place the structure you have built, with one cell of that space separating the placed building and the map. Click to place the structure and move it to the space next to the map.You should see white hash marks. Then move the cursor onto the map, where it should show as a green 'move' cursor. Click on the map where you want to place the structure... Blockade -------- If you're having trouble versus the computer and have some extra money, just expand with sand bags. Move towards the enemy base and sell the bags behind you. When you have reached the enemy base(s), just put a 'cork in the hole' by putting sand bags in the entrance of the base. Now the computer is trapped, unable to do anything. Gain control, build a devastating army, raise some towers in front of the base to weaken the enemy, put sand bags over the destroyed enemy towers' spots, just kick ass. It works every time! Cutthroats: Terror on the High Seas Hint 1: ------- Never drop your sails in battle--there's just no need. Maneuverability is always important when you need to get your other cannon facing toward the enemy as quickly as possible. Hint 2: ------- When you begin an adventure, loot towns first to get enough money to buy another small ship (approximately 1,500 gold pieces, depending on the port) before you go off to try your hand at open-water battles. Hint 3: ------- Before you start in on a long series of sea battles, recruit as many sailors as you can fit onboard; you'll need them for the boarding operation against even a minor opponent. Hint 4: ------- Before you disburse your plunder to end an adventure, head out for one last strike on the open seas to kill off a few of your crewmen (and bring in some extra cash). That will make your split much more attractive once you reach port. Hint 5: ------- When going after a ship, begin by switching to Chain Shot, and attack only the sails for a few passes (that will slow the enemy ship down). Pull back and switch to Grape Shot, and hammer away at the deck (that will kill off enemy crewmen). Once you've made a good number of strikes, issue the grapple order and begin boarding--hopefully, the odds will now be in your favor. Hint 6: ------- You may find things easier if you stick to a single ship and upgrade, rather than increasing your fleet (besides, you'll have less worries about doling out the plunder later with fewer pirates under your care). Hint 7: ------- Whenever you get a ship to surrender, secure it and take it to port to sell. Don't press the crew into service; they'll mutiny on you at the most inconvenient time. Hint 8: ------- If you do sail into combat with multiple ships, you can cut down on the chaos by controlling the lead ship and allowing the computer to control the rest. Civil War Generals 2: Grant, Lee, Sherman Tip 1 ----- The computer AI is a decent opponent and will vary its tactics from game to game. It can be fooled, however. Try sending a weaker unit to probe a far-off part of the enemy line. In most cases, the AI will react to the perceived threat and move unneeded units toward that part of the map. Tip 2 ----- One of the components of the victory conditions is control of certain hexes. If you are desperate or devious enough, send lone cavalry units off to occupy those victory hexes for a turn. It's a cheap (and time-honored) way to win, but all is not fair in war.
