Dune 2000 Cheat procedure: 1. When the game starts, build two tiles right away. This will make sure that there is only one place that is needed to be changed. 2. Save the game and abort the mission. 3. On the main menu, press "Alt+Tab", so that you don't have to quit the game to cheat. 4. Using scientific calculator find the corresponding hex number for the cash you had in the game. i.e. 4960 will give 1360. 5. Using hex editor, open the saved game. 6. Search for the hex value. Remember that low two bit comes first. So, for example, with 4960 cash, hex value is 1360. But you should look for 6013, instead. Change that to 'ffffaa'. It will give maximum amount of cash. Don't try to "ffffff", because it'll cause the game to crash. "ffffee" was the maximum value I was able to use without crashing, but "ffffaa" gave me the same thing anyway. 7. Save the change and close the file. 8. Back to Dune 2000 and load the game. Dune 2000 - HeXCheat - ---------------------- When you start a mission (at least with the Atreides),
if you save it as soon as you start, your spice credits
will be stored in byte 24354 (hex). If you've already
made something in the game, the proper position will not
be exactly that, but it won't change much.
So far, I only noticed a change up to byte 24344 (hex).
I took the offset values with xe, an hex editor for dos,
which I use to edit all my savegames.
Hint: Unnecessary concrete slabs: --------------------------------- You do not need to put concrete underneath an entire building. If the building has a dirt patch, just cover the actual building portion and leave the dirt patch on regular sand. This will save on spice and the number of concrete slabs to be built. Daggerfall Cheap Spells ------------ Adding a $ sign before the name of your spell in the spell maker will cut the casting cost by 3/4. Example - $Armagedon Adding a ! before the spell will cause the spell to cost nothing at the expense of being able to cast it once every 24hours. Daedra Summoning Dates ---------------------- When you're rank in the Mages Guild is high enough, you can summon Daedra's on specific dates. 5th and 21st of First Seed 1st and 13th of Morning Star 2nd and 16th of Suns Dawn 5th of Mid Year 10th of Suns Height 3rd of Hearth Fire 8th and 13th of Frost Fall 2nd and 20th of Suns Dusk 20th of Evening Star Easy Level Ups and Free Items ----------------------------- One of the worst bugs of daggerfall is the clipping, but it is easy to use that to your advantage. First, go to a town and try to sleep or kill a peasant. When the guards chase you, just run and jump over (or climb) a line of shrubbery. The guards will be stuck and you can then turn around and kill then through the bushes. This is an easy way to gain experience as you kill the guards for experiece then take their items to sell or keep. Easy Theft ---------- Go to a store and loiter inside until it closes. Now check the shelfs. Everything should be able to be removed in your inventory like you would do to a treasure you just found. Be sure to save the game before you try this as timing can be tricky. You may have to save, exit, and reload your game to lose the shopkeeper. Raise Stats ----------- Press F5 to go to the stats screen. Click on any stat (i.e. Strength) and move the mouse to the right where the bonus point icon would be. Hit where the up arrow would be (if you'd gone up a level) to add 4-6 points to the statistic. Then exit the screen and re-enter to add 4-6 points more. This code works on the original, unpatched game. Also, when you go up a level you must distribute your bonus points even if all of your stats are at 100. Unlimited Items and Gold ------------------------ This bug is fairly simple. All you have to do is find a building with piles of treasure you can pick up. (Dark Brotherhood buildings are best.) Pick up everything in every pile. Save your game. When you load it back up, you'll have everything you had before and all the piles will be back and have different stuff. Damage Incorporated During Game play hold in Ctrl while entering a Code below. Click on bench and wait for Jack - talk with him about everything. Exit tto the bottom of the screen - you get to the map of your city. Go to the location of Dr.Sims office (I know that its hard for you to know which one is that but after a while you'll get it). Try his door - he is out. Go right. Talk with Paul Cooper. Go right. Talk to Deputy Brown. Return back to map. Go to Hank's Diner. Chat inside it with Hank. Exit. Enter Pool Hall. Talk with Johnny and Melissa. Go to the backyard and search a trashcan for a hanger. Exit to the map. Go to the location of Sheriff's and morgue. Go to Sheriff's and chat with him. Exit to map. Now go to the Carnival location. Go left. Knock door and talk with Mrs.Ramirez. Go right twice. Click on the bushes and you will locate a guy named Slim. Talk with him. He gives you a reunion ticket. Go to the map. Go to the Dr.Sims'. He'll hypnotize you. After that go back to carnival and use carnival ticket on clown and chat with him after that. Go to the back- stage of the carnival and try to lift an anvil. No way! Now go to the Side Show of the carnival. Talk to Minnie&Daisy. Go left. Talk to Gargan. Go left. Chat with Pandora. Now go to the pool' backyard and into the tent. Talk with Slim. Go to your house and sit on the bench in the yard to chat with Jack. Now go to the sheriff's and talk with him about his & Rita's affair. Go to the morgue. Talk with Doc Larsen - your goal is to talk with him about hospital - here he escapes and you can deal with corpses. In his lab you can open freezer and examine Rita's body, look for 2 documents (I am not sure about that one) to the left of the corpse in the center of the lab. And finally, if you cant pick up a key from the corpse in the center of the room you should 1) go and talk with Pandora about everybody you saw at the carnival (but its essential only about Minnie & Daisy as I recall) or 2) make sure you read a tag on the corpse because that's a man Minnie & Daisy should tell you about. Anyway, with a key go to the Hall Of Mirrors at the carnival and find a way to the only door with a keyhole in it - unlock it with the key and head for ornate room. And there go through a portal to the Dark World (I will call it DW since this and Normal World - NW). When you go through you will talk with a Keeper Of The Light. She dies and you go to right and navigate a maze to one of available exits. Here you can go to the left (but not inside the skull) - here you'll meet with 2 bioguards who guard a prison. Try to solve their riddle - you will fail because you have no correct answer option. Back to the skull and go inside the mouth. Examine pillar. Go north. Go into the tomb. Examine behemoth. Back to the pillar. Here go left and talk with a face on the wall. Use magnet on it. Go left, examine everything. Go left. Examine everything. Back to the pillar. Go south twice. Go to the Hall Of Justice location. Enter the central door. Talk with a guard and you'll be sentenced to death (thats OK). After a ride, pickup a card on a corpse. Touch the emitters. Talk to the Keeper Of Souls. Talk again. You will exit back into DW. Now go to the civic centre (thats a location with a weapon- smith's office). Go into the weaponsmith's office. talk with him. Exit shop. Go right. Enter the temple and talk to the Pri- Estless. Exit. Go right. Here talk to the guard about prison guards's riddle and dont talk with him after he tells you answer because you will die (though its not fatal its not right). Go to map. Here go to the recreational center & bar location. Go to the bar and talk with a bartender. After that take a food. Also there's a DW jukebox here with a malfunction but I doubt it can be fixed. Exit. Go inside a center nearby. Try opening a door, look at the device. Now go back to the pillar (near that use a card on a barrier to get through). Here go to the prison and solve the riddl eof 2 biofreaks. (In my case the right answer was the upper one). Enter prison and use alien food on a guard. Go past him. Talk to the Keeper Of Scrolls. Return to map. Now go to the Hall Of Justice but enter the rightmost passage. Talk to droid and show him your card and talk to get rid of his presence. After that grab a Light from the table. Return to NW. Go to the carnival. Go and play the Wheel Of Fortune and you will succeed. Again go to the DW. Here go to the location where you used a magnet on the face. So use your creature from wheel contest on the panel at the right side of the screen. Go to the recreational centre and take an ego-massager and enter a door which you can unlock easily now. Go to the Goth and talk with him. Return to NW and go to Gargan to give him ego-massager. He will present you a pillbox. Back to Goth and give him pills. Talk with him again. Take a crossbow near the entrance. Back to NW. Go to sheriff's and you'll meet Mayor. Use hanger to open his car and get a case with a coin and photos. Back to your house and sit on bench to meet Jack. Discuss new evidences. Now go again to sheriff's and use coin on the phone and dial sheriff. Report a robbery just outside the town and he'll leave. Enter his office and take a photo and a newspaper. Go home and show this stuff to Jack as usual. Go to pool and talk again with Johnny and Melissa. After that go to the morgue and look in the drawer to the left of the corpse for Larsen's black book. Return homa and share news with Jack. Go to Mrs.Ramirez house and talk with her about Rita. After chat reenter to her house and you'll see Johnny entering her mansion and being paid. Go to the window and film them with your trusty camera. When you'll be back to map you'll get a message to visit Dr.Sims so you do. After next hypnosis and chat go back to your house and again share secrets with Jack. Go to the pool. After incident go to Slim's hut and talk with him. he gives you a letter and a gun. Return to DW & go to the weaponsmith. Give him a gun and he'll give you an arm- gun. Go to the NW's carnival and use this armgun at the Shooting Gallery. Sheriff will come and warn you. Exit to the map and you are agin prompted to visit Dr.Sims. After a seance you'll beat a Fed (wow!). Again go aqnd chat with Jack at your house. Then go to DW and use the creature you won on the panel near the thing that looks like Shooting Gallery (that's a screen to the left of the pillar). Now go to the weaponsmith's location and enter a previously locked door to the left of weapons shop. Take a tool there. Back to the NW and go to the carnival there. Go to the Ring Toss contest and use a crossbow on a cylinder, you win the contest. Go to the DW and to the very left from pillar. Use the last creature on panel. Go to the Hall Of Jus- tice now and unlock a cabinet and take Scrolls. Back to NW. Now go to the Paul Cooper's house and use a tool on the faucet. Enter his house and go left there. Examine marks on the floor and click on the closet to move it. Enter passage behind it. Examine everything here. When you take keys Paul will enter and you will kill Paul, but chat with him before he dies. Now go to his Hardware Store and unlock it with keys. Use crossbow on the alarm on the wall. Go to the house of Rita now and enter it. Read letter on the desk and enter her bedroom. Take a card for Pandora's special reading. Visit Pandora on carnival and use the card on her. After this go to your bedroom and open a door. Here examine a box of shoes and take a Sword. Exit from your bedroom and go to the kitchen (its to the right, really!). Talk to your Mom and after he dies talk with Rita's image. Go right. Go to the portal from DW to NW. Your goal here is to get to the ornate room before behemoth (Hint: at your first move go to the left of entrance). You kill behemoth. Now go back via maze to DW - go right from the portal and you need to reach the rightmost exit so it will be a long way. Go to the pillar. Here use scolls and light on the slots in the panel to the left of it and finally use sword on the wire. You appear at the Dr.Sims's office and talking to Jack. When you'll die click on the door to end this game AD&D Dark Sun: Crimson Sands Tip 1: ------ If you wish to join the Veiled Alliance, you'll have to find a reason to speak to Chesia, at the School of Thought on Caravan Way, as soon as possible. Tip 2: ------ Wear as much clothing as possible - it keeps people from being able to see what items you carry in inventory, which gives them a little less motive to nag or murder you DARKSTONE Bonus Song: ----------- For a lovely bonus in the single-player game, toss some coins in the bard's tray (in the center of town.) Easter Egg: ----------- When playing as the thief, you can steal from the chickens in town. Your reward is entirely appropriate. :-) Extra gold: ----------- Begin a new game and give all money from one character to the other character (money holder). Start another new game, and select the money holder as one character and create an entirely new character. Transfer 1500 gold from the new character to the money holder. Repeat as needed to build your gold total. Money Trick: ------------ The fastest road to easy money is by starting a new game with two monks. Transfer both the money and book of resurrection to one monk then quit the game. Start a new game with that same monk and another new monk, repeating the process until inventory is full of books and money. Ideally transfer books to a fighter with a good trade skill and sell all the books bringing in a total of about 180,000gp. Deposit gold and repeat. Mmmm. Hint: Avoid player killer problems: ----------------------------------- Use the following steps to save your game when playing over a network. Copy your save files to another directory that is outside of the DarkStone directory before joining a network game. To restore a save, reload DarkStone from the CD, then copy the saves from the outside directory. Note: Make sure all three saves are copied. Play Music in MP3 Player ------------------------ Because the music in DarkStone is stored in MP3 format, rename the file (giving it an [mp3] extension) to hear it in your MP3 player! -------- GameTips -------- The spell of choice for magic users: ------------------------------------ The spell of choice for magic users, especially between levels 1 and 20, is the Magic Bomb. This is a magical contact grenade that you can drop directly onto your enemy's head, even from around a corner or through a wall. I never saw a monster resist it, and it does around 30 to 70 points of damage per hit. tired of getting killed: ------------------------ Are you tired of getting killed over and over by spike traps and mines while you're trying to get to the treasure? The problem often can be solved by one or two Scrolls of Telekinesis, or a Scroll of Teleport. They cost a few gold pieces, but can save you a lot of time. The Time Orb: ------------- The Time Orb, once you have it, still won't do you a lot of good in the battle against Draak. It has only one charge, and its effect doesn't last long. You have to do hundreds of points of damage to Draak in about 30 seconds if you want to win the fight. -------------------- Hints by Reuben Kee ------------------- Basic tactics: -------------- Eat! If you get too hungry, your characters will start losing hp. Know that the value of armor or weapons decreases as the max duration and current duration decrease; always repair if you have the skill before selling equipment off. Characters can grow old and their stats will start dropping like mad. You start off at 20 years; you must find ways and means to prolong their youth. Every monster has its traits, meaning each monster has its own pattern in attack, movement, etc. Knowing your enemy well will result in more efficient kills. Use your skills! Each class features its different skills; use them well. They can really help a lot! To set spells, simply press the numbers 1-5, bring up your spell book and hold shift while clicking on the spell you wish to place under the number. How to be a millionaire: ------------------------ Different combinations of characters can complement each other very well, take a Warrior/Amazon, and a Thief/Assassin, and you can get rich really fast. First, have your thief's steal skill be reasonably good (doesn't fail so often) and you warrior's repair skill reasonably good (doesn't fail too often) and proceed to the dungeons below. Since the equipment you steal from the monsters is usually better than the stuff bought at the blacksmith, all you have to do is repair the second-hand equipment with your warrior and sell it off to the blacksmith! Know that the further you progress in the game, the more money you will be making, but the tougher the enemies. Hence, you will have to find out ways and tactics to keep alive and steal. Happy hunting! Note: Stealing from the NPCs will get you nowhere; you need to be daring and steal from the monsters for the good stuff. Tell your computer-controlled character what spells to cast: First, temporarily switch to the character you want the computer to use, select the spell from the spell book. Next click on your blue bar, your mana bar, it’s right beside your red bar, or hp bar. Notice a line? The top part of the line is how much mana you want to allow your computer-controlled character to cast with, the bottom part is reserved, just in case you have a spell which consumes HUGE amounts of mana. That’s it, switch back to your character and let the teamwork begin! The "croak" tactic: ------------------- If heavily overpowered by a ungodly powerful enemy, use a long range offensive spell or weapon to keep our of harm’s way. If he has long range offensive capabilities as well, attack, dodge, attack, dodge, etc. Croaking will get you through the harder parts of the game. Infinite food trick: -------------------- During the horn of plenty quest, you can right-click on the horn to get some nice pieces of chicken! Also, the forester skill can get you lots of fish too, use it on a pond to fish! New Song: --------- In a single player game toss coins in the Bard's tray in the center of town. Playing as Thief: ----------------- Steal from the chickens to get a good reward :) 3 Cool Tricks ------------- Here's some tricks for Darkstone that I discovered and haven't seen mentioned anywhere. The first 2 can only be done in single player games, the 3rd can be done in both single and multi. 1. Surrogate Pool Drinker - If you switch to solo mode and leave the character you're not using at a mana or health pool, whenever you get low just switch to the character by the pool, walk a short distance from the pool, then click on the pool and before the character gets there to take a drink switch back to the other character and that one will get their health or mana filled instead of the one by the pool. 2. Permanent Magic Door - If you want to keep your magic doors from crumbling when you go back through them, when returning through the door from town use the character who did NOT create the magic door to enter the portal. If you are in a multi player game, 2 characters can both make a magic door then return from town using the other guy's door instead of your own. This way you can keep them open and use them over and over. 3. Earn More Money - Of course you want to use a character with the Trade skill to do all the buying, selling, and repairing (if you have one). But if you have the character with Trade skill pay the blacksmith to repair all your items before you sell them you will actually get MORE money. Then sell their copys of Ressurection for lots of Cash. Then give the money two one charater. Start a new single player game with a two new monks. Deletee the charater (MONK that has no money) and repet with the new monks. Then make the charater you want and start a new game with the really rich monks. Take their money and start a new single player game with another new charater. I did this 13 times and ended up with over 100000 gold. Dark Sun: Wake of the Ravanger To use any of the codes you must start the game with the command -k911 simply add the -k911 command after the startup command dsun like this: dsun -k911 Note: do not use ravager to start the game you must use dsun followed by the cheet commands. Go to the main option panel. 2. Position the mouse pointer onto the top left of the screen. 3. Press the Alt, Ctrl and C keys at the same time. The animation of the mouse pointer should stop at this point. 4. Use the numeric keypad to type in 3615, then hit Enter (also on the numeric keypad). While you are typing, you should see the numbers appearing on the top left of your screen. After you hit Enter, the animation of the mouse pointer should resume. You are now in Cheat Mode. Now, once you are in Cheat Mode, go to the normal, 3D game view. From here, you can press Ctrl-T to all the weapons and set all of your parameters to their respective maximums. This also gives you all of the objects of the scenario, although they will still appear in their normal locations - you will be carrying exact copies. Important Note: don’t press Ctrl-T while in one of the 2D panels or while you are swimming. DIABLO Duplicate Items --------------- This allows the player to duplicate any item of their choice. All you need is the item you want to duplicate and any belt item. Put the item you want to duplicate on the ground Walk away from it but keep it on the screen Click on the item (this should make you walk back towards it) At the exact same time you pick it up, click on a belt item. (You should have picked up the item anyway.) Open your inventory ------------------- Put the belt item in an empty space in your inventory. If done correctly, your belt item should become the item you wanted to duplicate once in the inventory. Phantom Duplication Trick ------------------------- Note: This trick will work with any item you can place in your belt (potions & scrolls) but the duplicate items are phantoms and will only exist in your inventory! To perform this cheat you need to have all 8 slots on your belt filled. You also need 9 items you can drop, as well as the item you want to duplicate. Find a location that has an open space at least 4x4 in size and stand in the middle of it. Drop 9 items from your main inventory. This will create a square of 8 items around you with you in the middle standing on the 9th item. Return to your inventory screen and replace one of the items in your belt with the item you want to duplicate. When you've done that, highlight the item in your belt that you want to duplicate, press the X button, then press the triangle button. You'll be returned to the game screen and a duplicate of the item you highlighted on your inventory screen will drop outside the square of items. Go pick up this item and return to the middle of the square of dropped items and repeat the process until you have duplicated as many items as you want. IMPORTANT: The item you want to duplicate MUST be in your belt, not your main inventory, for this trick to work. The items you create using this trick will work just like the real thing and they will sell for the same price as the real thing, but if you attempt to drop the duplicate it will vanish! Also, if you attempt to save your game with a phantom object in your inventory, you'll get an error and could possibly lose your previously saved game as well, so be forewarned. The best way to take advantage of this cheat is to use the duplicated items immediately. For example: dup an Identify scroll to identify an item and save the 100 gold piece fee; dup Strength, Magic, Dexterity, Vitality or Spectral Elixirs and immediately use them to boost your stats; dup that *Rare* and expensive scroll to make some quick cash! Diablo: Hellfire More money: ----------- Fill all but one of the spaces in your inventory with items (such as health and mana potions). Place 1 gold piece in the remaining free square. Have 5,000 gold on the ground, ready to be picked up. Make sure your inventory is not displayed on the screen, then pick up the money. Your character will state that he or she can not carry any more. The 1 gold piece in your inventory should now be changed to 5,000, with the other gold remaining on the ground. Repeat this process to get as much gold as needed. Bonus Quests and Character Class -------------------------------- The following code requires the latest version of Diablo: Hellfire. It will not work on the original version. To access some secret Easter eggs in Hellfire, create a text file called command.txt and place it in your Hellfire directory.
