Walk as close as possible to a wall, or a closed
door you want to go through. Turn back, start

key a bit to get the hang of it.

don't have any autopilot controls displayed on their instrument
panels, you can still have full autopilot functionality with

for speed hold; Alt-V for vertical speed hold; Alt-W to

trouble trimming:

If you are having trouble trimming your chosen aircraft for
straight and level flight, then turn on the autopilot and let
it do the work for you. Once you disconnect from it, the
airplane should be nicely balanced for hands-off flying.

up their info boxes, then click on the radio frequencies

The default loadout for each aircraft is a passenger in

Kick some of this dead weight out to make your plane
lighter and more responsive, and to get more mileage

Knowledge is power. Use your recon vehicles to probe enemy
positions, then engage the opposition with your heavy armor.
Use your weapons:
-----------------
Use your weapons' different ranges to set "kill zones.
" Deploy TOW Antitank Guided Missiles to the rear, place
tanks a bit forward, sprinkle the area where you wish to
engage the enemy with mines, and then let loose when the
enemy arrives. It is the synergy of multiple weapon systems
simultaneously engaging the enemy that wins battles.
Place your less capable tanks:
------------------------------
Place your less capable tanks (such as T-72s) on the reverse
(that is, opposite) side of the hill from an enemy advance.
The enemy won't be able to see the tanks until they crest
the hill, and then the T-72s can pour shells into the enemy
at close range--hopefully negating any technological advantage
the enemy has. That's the theory, but it didn't work too well
for the Iraqis at Medina Ridge.
Use the right weapon system:
----------------------------
Use the right weapon system for the right job. Helicopters
are great tank busters, but are vulnerable to thin-skinned
antiair vehicles. Use tanks to clear the antiair vehicles
before employing your choppers. The helicopters are also
good at popping up from behind ridges (using the Set
Helicopter Height option), shooting a couple of missiles,
and then diving for cover before the enemy can return fire.

Bonus modes and cheats unveiled:
Every so often a developer goes overboard with its cheats,
providing a stunning array of special modes, gameplay cheats
and, best of all,pointless but obviously painstaking bizarre
laffs. Normally, it's Japanese companies that excel here, but
Psygnosis, and well-named F1developers Bizarre Creations have
proved themselves more than a match with these inspired extras.
To activate them simply enter the codesbelow as your driver's
name. Best of all, you can edit any number ofdrivers'names, and
the game remembers them, meaning you can enter allthe cheats,
save them to a memory card and access them any time you like.
To delete characters from the drivers'names, select the last
one andmove to between Z and A, when it disappears.
VIRTUALLY VIRTUALVirtual reality style graphics. For that VR
racing experience. Strangely,taking the textures off does
nothing for the game's pop-up.
SWAP SHOPBackground music and new sound effects. What you actually
get is somefaint drum'n'bass and bizarre piano and synth tinklings
in place ofthe normal collision noises. Odd.
LITTLE WEELZ Over-inflated tyres, and not slightly overinflated either. From thelower views they actually obscure the drivers view. Silly.
PI MAN Wipeout mode. This is one of our favourites. Takes the wheels off yourcar, kills the engine noise, leaves a glowing blue exhaust trail andbanks your car through corners.
ZOOM LENSE Helicopter viewpoint, ideal for a realistic Micro Machines experience,although awful to drive with as you can't see the corners coming.Also causes weird 70's Top of The Pops trail effects on the surroundingscenery.
BOX CHATTER Murray and Martin sprite commentators. Another favourite. Two Bert andErnie cartoon heads sit on the info bar and lip synch to the commentary.
BILLY BONUS Four extra tracks, Yet another favourite and perhaps the most outrightuseful of the lot, this gives you four extra tracks, Sunob, Edialeda,Adia and, best of all, Sixties. The latter is amongst the best modeson its own. Viewed in crackly black and white, complete with lines onthe 'celluloid', it features a full line-up of those bath tub motorsStirling Moss used to drive.
CATS DOGS Rains frogs instead of water, Just plain odd.
OEAN ALESI Round 16 in Championship. Takes you straight to Suzuka.

Sierra Cup:

Give yourself a number of practice runs before attempting a
race in the Sierra Cup. You can't wipe out a bad run or a
DQ, so ensure that you've practiced enough to get "in the
zone" before you leave the starting hut for real.
Course Map:
-----------
Keep an eye on the Course Map in the lower left part of the
screen to determine the location of upcoming gates.
This will allow you to plan your turns before the next gate
is even visible.
runaway train:
--------------
Longer skis provide more speed at the expense of turning ability.
200 cm skis are a good compromise for the downhill events as
they'll provide enough straight-line speed to win on each course
without making you feel you're riding a runaway train.

If you let them warm up too long their stamina
will begin to decrease.
Make sure to get a two step lead if you are going

(or its PC-equivalent) to get a little more speed,
or press up to slow it down.
Take your cuts in batting practice before stepping

1. When looking for power switches to open gates,
don't forget to blow up statues; they frequently
hide the switches.
2. You don't have to kill everything to complete
