This can cause nasty crashes. Lands of Lore 3 Gametips -------- Tip 1 ----- Break every box and barrel you see in town. Just because you're a possible heir to the throne doesn't mean you shouldn't be seen going through the garbage! Tip 2 ----- The easy way to finding the Bachannal: go to the Tavern in Lower Gladstone and take Mauri's key. With it, you can let yourself into the sewers. You'll have to fight a few rat men and the occasional thug, but you'll find the Thieves' Guild down there. Tip 3 ----- If you're a mage, buy yourself at least one cold spell before you head into the volcanic caves. It pays off. If you're a thief, a cat's ring is a wise investment! Leisure Suit Larry 1-3 Probably the oldest cheat known to mankind certainly deserves his place here : To get thru the questions at the beginning, just hit [Alt]+[X] (in the original Larry 1) or [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[X] (in Larry 3 and the new Larry 1) LEISURE SUIT LARRY 7 Easter Eggs ----------- These tips will add a little spice to the game. After you turn Victoria Principles into a sex craved maniac. And I mean right after. Click on the bathing man on the left on the computer screen and at the same time hold down CTRL on your keyboard. Then ask Victiria about the weather. Then you will get a little treat. Go to the Boning Cabin, and click on the buldge of the third statue on the left(counting from the top). In the Captain's Ballroom, where you meet Jamie Lee, go to the right side of the room, click on yourself, and go to other. Type in "dream". You're in for a treat ! When you visit Drew, click on the leaf branch, and at other, type in "push". You will get to see them. Go into the library, click on the beaver, and under other, type in "milk". Then sneak into the Juggs dressing room, and get a little surprise. Put orgasmic powder on Drew's drink when you're talking to her. Then click OTHER on her drink. When you mention her suitcase and she gets up, Larry will not block your view. After the Juggs have left the stage, go to the back section of the stage, and click on the console and go to other. Type in "feel". Then go to Drew and talk about Fokker. Suddenly she won't seem to mind your wondering eyes. After viewing the seven easter eggs above, finding all the dildoes and getting all the points, you'll get see a brief shot of Captain Thye nude before the aliens come down. Liar's Dice ----------- While playing Strip Liar's Dice with Dewmi, press Control-C to take a peak at Dewmi's dice. Laser Squad HeX-Cheat: ---------- Edit the mission files with a Hex editor and make the changes detailed in the table below to increase the number of credits you have to 800. This should be plenty as if you were to spend more you would be too heavily weighed down and youŽd lose lots of action points. Press and hold any button during the replay of you and Redeye (arcade mode, or the last character in pc mode) to hear a message from your character. What does this message have to do with anything? This means that starting a new game will give the mission briefing for level 1 and show the "Loading Level 1" screen. Saving and loading saved games works just fine, but if the game is exited and restarted, the same command line must be used to restore a saved game. The level numbers and the MISSxx files don't exactly match up. LEGO ISLAND HINTS ---------------- Boom Box -------- If your tired of listening to the radio that never plays the songs you want then the Boom Box is here to save you. Just go to the Pizasony (the pizza shop) but don't go in. If you are facing it from the front you'll see a little gap to the side. Go down it and click on the boom box. Now you can choose your favorite song. Chase The Brickster ------------------- To let the Brickster escape, first build the helicopter. When you go outside, you will see the helicopter on the landing pad next to the jail. Now, you must be Pepper the pizza delivery kid. Deliver a pizza to the jail. The Brickster will use the pizza to escape and steal the helicopter. Then go around the island chasing the Brickster and picking up parts to the helicopter. After you collected all the parts, you must build the helicopter again. After you have done that, you will be flying the helicopter. Drop donuts to Nick and Lora to speed them up and pizzas to the Brickster to slow him down. Clues on the Third Floor ------------------------ At the Information Center, click on the arrows until you see an elevator. Go in the elevator and click on the 3 for third floor. Then you will see two arrows. Click on the one on the right. You will see a desk with drawers. Click on the middle one. It will start telling you clues and about the cave code. Cruise Control -------------- To activate this code, enter any vehicle and start driving. While holding the gas, click on the hand to out. Voila! The vehicle will drive on its own until it hits another vehicle. Dancing Plants -------------- While playing, press Z and T simultaneously to make the trees and flowers dance. Radio Code ---------- Press Esc anytime in the game, you'll be with the Infomaniac. He'll ask you if you want to exit. Then turn on the radio and click the red brick. Now you can hear the radio at the credits. Secret Cave ----------- First, go to the part of the island that sticks up. Then go as far down as you can go, then turn left and you will see a cave. Go in the cave, go up to the door, and click on it with your pointer. It should tell you different secrets. You can go to it as many times as you want. Next, go to play. Go to the different views and click the camera view. then wait for it to get dark. Soon it will be in night vision mode. Lego Loco Ghost Train ----------- To see a ghost train, set your computer's date to October 31st. Now, open LEGO Loco, build a special tunnel, and watch the rails! Launchpad --------- You can place a launchpad on the map, even though it isn't listed in the toybox! Here's how: Put 2 Radar Stations right next to each other. Close the toybox. The radar stations transform into a launchpad! Loch Ness Monster ----------------- To see a Loch Ness Monster in the lake, just surround the lake with sunflowers. A Nessie will surface! Robo Loco --------- You can place a giant robot on the map! Here's how: Place a radar station to the right of the tall building marked IG on front. Close the toybox and wait a little. The office building is now a giant robot! Creating a big fountain ----------------------- Place four fountains in a square to create a single large fountain Space Shuttle ------------- Place 2 radars next to each other and wait a little while, then they will turn into a Space shuttle. Giant Robot ----------- Place a radar next to a building with "IG" on it. The building will then transform into a Giant Robot. LEGO RACERS To activate a cheat, enter Build mode and create (or edit) a driver. Select Make A License from the in-game menu and enter one of the codes below as the driver`s name. Choose the "Select Another Position" option from the next menu. Position the pointer as close to the screen as possible, and click at that location. When the screen is redrawn, click on "Select Another Position" again and position the ball as close as possible to the hole. Repeat this procedure until the ball is inches from the hole. Click on "Hit" to complete the hole. Links LS 1999 Tip 1: ------ Going "over the top" of the clickable swing meter is extremely dangerous. Instead, try to pick a longer hitting club and limit yourself to the 4/5ths mark, where slight accuracy deviations do not result in your ball landing on the moon. Tip 2: ------ Shots tend to gain distance when the ball lies in the rough. Also, the trajectory of a ball lying on a left or right slope will be affected in the opposite direction of that slope. Adjust accordingly. Tip 3: ------ This is really reaching, but multitasking with Links open can slow down that swing meter. It's happened to me on a couple of occasions, though I can't determine exactly what caused it. Nevertheless, those low scores on the LS Tour Web site may just be a byproduct. My advice to cheaters is to investigate further before hitting the multiplayer Tour. Tip 4: ------ PowerStroke players would be doing themselves a favor by toying with the PowerStroke sensitivity settings (found in-game under Menu, Preferences). Here, you can adjust the sensitivity of the mouse to suit your game, and it really can make a big difference. LINKS: THE CHALLENGE OF GOLF 12 `Putts ---------- To position the ball near the hole, tee-off. Then select `Drop` from the in-game menu and choose `Select Another Position` option within the list. (As the screen is redrawn, the ball is moved closer to the hole.) Repeat to move the ball inches from the hole! Links Extreme Tip 1: ------ When playing Poison, Link Extreme's premier single-player mode, go for the low score rather than veering off track for the kill. This will keep you teeing off last, so that you can drive for the hole and inflict a lot of damage with just a single shot. Tip 2: ------ Extreme's mouse swing, the power stroke, does not factor in the tempo of the backswing. Therefore, take your time in bringing your club back and leave it there for a moment to get things lined up before you swing forward. Also, releasing for snap just a fraction of a second after you've begun your downstroke is far better than waiting until the meter actually passes by the snap point. We don't know why it works best this way, but it does. Tip 3: ------ In deathmatch mode, get on to the green as soon as possible. From here, you'll be able to smack that exploding ball farther and with more accuracy than from the fairway. Lion King A game far from original, but we had a lot of fun with it! Just love that roar! Anyway, to cheat, just type DWARF at the title screen. You will get a "CHEAT ENABLED". Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver Hex Cheats: ----------- There are a number of "command line" parameters that the game will accept, but unfortunately not on the actual command line nor by trying to use the file KAIN2.ARG, which has the default parameters used by the game. They are actually read from an area inside the KAIN2.EXE file. There are only 39 bytes that can be used. Be sure to backup KAIN2.EXE before editing this file. To find the place with a hex editor, search for some part or all of the following string: under 1 -mainmenu -voice -inspectral The first parameter should be a level name. This level will be loaded if the "Start A New Game" option is chosen on the Main Menu. See below for level names. The remaining bytes can be used for parameters. If the -mainmenu parameter is not there, when the game is started, the first parameter level will automatically be loaded. The -inspectral parameter means Raziel will start a new game in the spectral world. It is not known exactly what the -voice parameter does as there are still voices in the game if it is not there. The following string will open all portals. Also, when a new game is selected, it will start after the long beginning cut-scene and very close to the first portal. Leave after killing it, and do not go back to the human. The next human you encounter, located in the gear room, should fall to his knees and hold out his arms. The humans now consider you an avenging angel. Do not attack them, or they will turn on you. Warning: Vampire Worshippers are garbed in red and gold. They wield throwing knives and staffs and will always attack. You may kill them as they are evil. Be sure to check your human targets. You will now be able to peacefully roam through the human stronghold. Hint: Defeating Malchia: ------------------ To defeat the Malchia, lure him under one of the two spike gates and release them right when he is slithering under it. Repeat this on the other side of the room. After that, lure him into the center cage, quickly jump out, run to where Malchia started from, and roll the lever. This will cause the large spikes on the ceiling to come grinding down on top of him. Hint: Defeating Dumah: ---------------- Pull the three stakes out of him to bring him back to life. Lure him into the furnace room very slowly -- if you move too fast, he will return to his room and you will have to begin again. Turn on the gas and hit the switch after he is in the furnace room to fry him. Hint: Defeating Zephon: ----------------- Bring a torch with you to the fight with Zephon. Run up to his belly, and swipe the torch at the hole for a bit of damage. He will attack with his leg, and get it stuck in his belly. Strike the leg. He will be heavily damaged. Strike the egg hole to cause more damage. Any time he gets a leg stuck in the ground, hit it with the torch, then hit his egg sack to quickly kill him. This is easier than the "correct" method. After defeating him, you will gain the ability to scale walls. Hint: Defeating Rahab: ---------------- You must enter the chamber in the spectral realm. Go to the top pillar where the portal is located and materialize. After a brief exchange of words, your only task is to shoot out the windows lining the room to let in the sunlight. Use the force blast-- you do not need Soul Reaver, so do not worry about taking hits. After he dies, you will acquire the swimming ability. Hint: Defeating Kain (first time): ---------------------------- Simply wait for him to materialize and hit him. He will appear behind you 90% of the time. You will acquire Soul Reaver after he is defeated. Hint: Defeating Kain (final time): ---------------------------- Wait for him to materialize and hit him. You need soul reaver to do damage. The spirit forge in the center of the arena always automatically fills your health. Simply run over to it to accomplish this. When you strike him the first time, he appears on the second tier, again usually behind you. Finally, when you hit him on the second tier, he will materialize on the third and highest tier, again usually behind you. Quickly hit him a third time to defeat him. Hint: Use of the Constrict ability: ----------------------------- First, you must have a circular area around the target. For example: Assume that the target is a Dumahim vampire (the most common in Nosgoth). Now, without using autoface, run a complete circle around the vampire until Raziel is followed by a trace of blue energy. This energy, once fully invoked, will "constrict" the vampire, causing it to be momentarily stunned -- and allowing ample time for you to finish the it off. The Constrict ability has odd effects on humans. They are as follows: 1. Certain humans, once you begin the Constrict ability, will act as though they plummeted into water. If you do not finish the ability, they will "drown". 2. The human will get stunned when Constrict is half finished, allowing you to stop and feed on their soul. 3. The most common and normal result is that the human will instantaneously die. The Constrict ability is required to complete the puzzle in the Chrono-chamber. Also, make sure to return to areas of Nosgoth you have already visited prior to gaining that ability. You will find that Constrict can be used on many things, and may open up useful secrets (such as Eldritch artifacts, Glyphs, and life force pieces).
