Infinite Experience In Multiplayer

First you must be using a fighter because a mage is
too weak. Work a fighter to get to the MEDIUM maps.
Make sure your armor is decent and buy the least
damage dealing weapon your fighter supports.
(Example: if your fighter is a bludgeon guy then
buy a cheap club.)
Next, create a TCP/IP game and enter the "Shallow" map.
Upon entering the map immediately head east towards the
orc forest. Eliminate all of the orcs (with your good
weapon) before getting to the first orc hut.
When you get to the hut kill the archer right below it.
Then move to the N/E corner of the hut and 2 sword
weilding orcs will confront you as well as an archer
at the top. Kill the sword-orcs, and then equip your
cheap low damage weapon.
Now go to kill the archer. Make sure he doesn't leave
his spot, if he leaves the trick won't work.
Move your guy to attack the archer, but don't let
him get near the coast.
There is a mage after the bridge and she will surely
make short work of you. When you start attacking him
(if he hasn't moved) then this is what will happen:
1. The mage on the coast will continue to cast heal on
the archer but will never attack you. This will pretty
much make the orc invincible.
2. The other orcs will not respawn therefore you will
not have to worry about dying.
3. Your fighter will continue to attack the orc and your
experience will go up each and every time you hit him.
Now my friend, leave the room and come back in several
hours. You won't believe how awesome your character
will be!

Rise and Rule of Ancient Empires
You don't need to keep a large standing army around your empire,
especially in the early stages of the game. Cities have a defense
value even when there are no military units stationed in them.
Even if an opponent gets lucky and blunders across one of your cities
with an exploring unit, he probably won't be able to take your
city...and even if he gets lucky and takes your city, your people's
affinity for you will likely return control to you on the next turn.
I don't even think about raising an army until I have located at
least one opponent. Instead, concentrate on building the improvements
that allow you to build more advanced units. Military units are cheap,
and you can raise a respectable army in 2 or 3 turns if you've built the
infrastructure first.
If you should discover an opposing civilization before it finds you,
send a small to medium-sized force to threaten at least one city.
Approach it from a direction other than directly toward your own
civilization. The idea here is to panic the other player into raising
an early army of weak units, and to mislead him as to the direction
of your own cities, while you continue to advance your infrastructure.
It's also a good idea to station some pickets near your enemy, as far
from your own cities as possible, to keep his explorers away.
Don't waste time or resources on internal trade. External trade will
help with conquest of opponents' cities, but as a practical matter the AI
opponents will rarely maintain peace long enough for you to trade effectively.
Merchants are a valuable unit in head-to-head play, but have minimal
impact on a solo game.

First start a game on any difficulty with the "Computer Snake"
option set to 1, 2, or 3 (it doesn't matter). Next when the
level starts, and you see a snake coming out the top of the
level, hit "F3" to pause the game. Go back up to "Options"
and set "Computer Snake" to 0. Now just navigate your snake
through the opening at the top and the level is finished!
Of course you'll have to set the snake number to something
other than 0 before the next stage. But you get the idea.

Easy Fighter Killing
This is for places like Coruscant where there are
a lot of fighters. Get a fleet really close to the
enemy system.
This fleet should have 2 Corellian Corvettes and 1
Escort Frigate (Nebulon B's if you have them) but
NO FIGHTERS.
Jump into the enemy system and unpause. When the
enemy fighters start moving, pause and jump into
hyperspace. The fighters will have reached you and
exchanged shots. If you were quick enough they won't
damage you but their squad size will be reduced.
Repeat as needed.

One of the most frustrating things when I first started
the game was continually losing at sword fights... even
the easiest opponent could often beat me. Here are a few
tips I've picked up along the way that may help you.
Patience: This is really the key thing in any fight.
The game is not a shoot-'em-up action game where you
need quick reflexes to survive. Rather, a good wit and
a little strategy go much further. Often I lose or am
badly wounded when I try to rush my victory. A good
offense is a good defense, they say.
Practice: Your first stop when you start the game should
be the Draggin' Tale inn. After you talk to your friend
Tobais and the barkeep Dreekius, the chaps sitting at the
table drinking can be easily convinced into a fight.
You lose no health while fighting them, and it is good
experience combating multiple opponents. Please note that
these lads are quite drunk and are about the worst fighters
in Stros M'Kai.
Jumping: An interesting move is attacking while jumping.
If you can get the timing right you kill some foes without
them being able to attack. The maneuver goes something like:
Defend Off-Jump-Attack-Defend On. This works best when you are
downhill from your opponent; otherwise you'll have to attack
later on during the jump. If you are hit before or while you
start jumping, your attack will always miss, I find. You will
have to adjust your attack time when in the air. I've found
that while fighting on level ground, I have to attack at the
top of my jump. As long as your opponent does not attack you
on the way up or before you attack him, it appears that he
cannot hit you.
Facing Your Opponent: This sounds simple enough, but can be
tricky when fighting multiple opponents. They will usually
sound off whenever they switch, but I've seen people attack
me from behind without much warning. It took me a few fights
to get to know where to face to most effectively hit and defend.
Auto-Defend: This lifesaver will make Cyrus perfectly defend any
incoming attacks if you aren't doing anything else at the time
(although I think you can move around). I'd recommend using this
at least for a while when starting the game. Once your fighting
skills increase, you can turn this off (using F7) and see how
truly skilled you are.
Slash: The single slash is one of your basic moves. It is quick,
which minimizes the amount of time you're not defending,
but is short-range.
Thrust: I find this move (Forward+Attack) to be one of the
better attacks, mostly due to its speed and range. If you
miss, you can quickly go back on the defense and it reaches
farther than a slash.
Lunge: This has a further range than the thrust, but I find
it harder to pull off on the keyboard. Also, if you miss you
are more vulnerable to an attack.
Finding Gold
------------
Your survival in Stros M'Kai depends primarily on your health,
your health depends on your supply of healing potions, and
those potions depend on your spare gold. Further, gold can buy
lots of other useful things, some of them required at one time
or another. Here's a few places to find some extra cash:
Guards and other monsters generally carry some gold, if your sword
skill is up to getting it.
Kotaro, the bald guy sitting on the docks, can give you a job
paying 100 before, and 200 after you deliver an amulet from
N'Gasta to Richton.
In the lower harbor tower (near the docks with stairs leading
to a 2nd story door), a chest in the bottom floor contains some gold.
In the town of Saintsport at the south end of the island is a
house with some gold and potions lying around. There is also
some gold lying outside in the town. Watch out for the crazy
person here who will attack you.
South, down the shore from Saintsport, is a shipwreck with some
gold...and another crazy person to attack you.
North from the shipwreck is a skeleton of a large creature with
some gold lying around.
Redline
To enable the cheats, hold down the G,0,D keys while
in the game all at once. This should bring up a text
area were you can input the cheats.

- You need some kind of energy.

- You have to drill twice.
- Don't forget the box of matches in tthe rubble.
- It's hard to find, on the left.
