Ultima VI Door Trick ---------- Ever find yourself at a locked door with no key, no picks, and no kegs? Well here is what to do. First cast "Magical Lock" on the locked door. Then cast "Magical Unlock" on the door. This will not only remove the magic lock, but the normal lock as well. This is a good trick to get into doors. Iolo's Cheat ------------ With Iolo in your party, speak to him. Say spam (hit enter) spam (hit enter) spam (again, hit enter) then type humbug. He will then give you access to a secret cheat menu that will allow you to Heal your party, edit your karma, HP, Level, Get you horses, and even an item code. If you hit the number to get an item, it will ask you for the quality and quantity. For quality type 9, you can have as many of the item as you like, even overload your character! There are 500 plus items in the game, so type in random numbers to get items. You can even get weird things like walls and other STRANGE objects. Shoplifting ----------- If there is something in a room you can't steal without being caught, do this. Drop any kind of container that from your inventory next to the item you want to steal. Now, move the item into the container. Finally, pick up the container. You now have your desired item in the container in your inventory without being attacked or arrested. ----------------------------------- Talk to Iolo, say 'spam' 3 times to him, then ask about 'humbug' and he will give you a cheat menu. Choose your side! Choose any character. If you're going ilegally it's often better to use a thief and any other if you like to be a safe, legal money gainer: -LEGAL ------ It's often better to tailor. Raise your tailor skill with a tinker, but don't forget to save some money to buy some yards of sheets, a sewing kit, scissors and yarns... Use the sewing kit first, then the scissors and the rest as you intend. Sell it to a clothes shop or something. Write a book. That's what books are for. Then, sell to scribes. Buy some scrolls, potions, runes and sell it. It often gives you money. Fight. Sell the bones, and the entrails of the animal/beast and get some money! There are more, but I'll let you to find out... :-) -ILEGALLY --------- The way to get the most money is to steal books from libraries and sell it to scribes. You'll get 6-7gps per book, so it's a good deal. Find some PC and drag him/her to a place where you leave the protection of Lord British's guards, then, KILL HIM/HER!!! But look out! Although you can steal from him/her's dead body, he/she may report you to the guards, so stay on the look out! I found this nifty bug (or is it not?): find a place with rooms and NPCs. Find an NPC near a room. Try to steal an object with little or no value. Log off before you get killed. Log on. When it gives you the chance of becoming a ghost or the penalties, choose the panalties... TA-DAAAAA!! The NPC's backpak is in the room and ready for the taking! Look under the 'Saved' directory in the directory that Urban Assault was saved in and in your savegame directory look for a file with an . RST extension with a time that corresponds with the time you started the mission. Now edit this file using Wordpad (it's just a long text file). Most of it I haven't interpreted yet but about 2/3 the way down you'll find a grid setup with the title 'Ownermap' and it will consist of a series of 2 digit numbers setup in a grid which coincidentally matches the grid setup for the map you're currently playing. Change all values in the Ownermap to '01' which gives you ownership of all cells in the grid. Save the file and exit. Return to the game and start it up again. Now the extension .RST stands for restart. So click on the 'X' in the bottom right of the screen and pick 'Restart mission'. When you restart you will have ownership of all cells and this seriously screws up the enemies ability to collect power and consequently create vehicles etc. And you'll be able to collect HUGE amounts for doing just that. The enemy will have to spend the first little while re-capturing powerstations and cells to try to gain power back and in the meantime you can just pound them. There is also a 'Buildingmap' which I've experimented with to try to give myself some flak stations but it hasn't worked yet. If I find anything else out I'll letcha know.
