BUILDINGS OF WARCRAFT

There are several buildings in Warcraft that allow you to create units, defend, and upgrade your town with. To build these buildings and make units three minerals are required.

Gold- found in goldmines throughout the map. Allows you to buy units and buildings. Peasants/peons mine gold. Gold can be scarse so use it wisely.

Trees- Found in forests scattered around the map. Allows you to build buildings, ships, balistas/catapults etc. Harvested by peasants/peons.

Oil- Found in the water in the map. Oil tankers build oil platform and mine the oil. Oil can be scarse so use it wisely. Can be used to build ships and upgrade ship weapon and armour.

 

Human Buildings

Basic Buildings Building Stats

Name: Townhall

Hit Points: 1200

Cost: 1200 gold 800 wood

Units Produced: Peasant

The Townhall is the heart of the Human settlement. They produce the worker units that mine gold and wood and also build and repair buildings and serve as a last defense.

Name: Chicken Farm

Hit Points: 400

Cost: 500 gold 250 wood

Supply: 4 units

The farm provides food for the settlement. Units require these farms before they can trained.

Name: Barracks

Hit Points: 800

Cost: 700 gold 450 wood

Requires: Townhall

Units Produced: Footman, Archer/Ranger, Ballista and Knight/Paladin

The Barracks produces the footman and other ground units that require other buildings. It also allows the Townhall to upgrade to Keep.

Name: Elven Lumber Mill

Hit Points: 600

Cost: 600 gold 450 wood

Requires: Townhall

Upgrades: Upgrade arrows x2, Ranger Training, Long Bow, Markmanship

The Elven Lumber Mill allows for training of Archers/Rangers. Also has upgrades to weapons, armour, sight and range to archers. It allows for other buildings to be built. Also adds +25 wood per Peasant.

Name: Blacksmith

Hit Points: 775

Cost: 800 gold 450 wood 100 oil

Requires: Townhall

Upgrades: Upgrade weapons x2, upgrade armour x2, upgrade ballistas

The Blacksmith allows for building of Ballistas and supplies upgrades for melee weapons and armour and damage for Ballistas.

Name: Scout Tower

Hit Points: 100

Cost: 550 gold 150 wood

Requires: Townhall

The Scout Tower provides a wide range of sight allowing you to see an attack before they surprise you. They can be upgraded to an Arrow tower or Cannon tower.

 

Name: Guard Tower

Hit Points: 100

Cost: 550 gold 150 wood

Requires: Scout Tower and Lumber Mill

The Guard tower shoots arrows at any target that is within range. They can attack land, sea and ground.

 

Name: Cannon Tower

Hit Points: 100

Cost: 550 gold 150 wood

Requires: Blacksmith

The cannon tower is the most powerful of tower attacks, however it can only attack ground and sea units. It also has splash damage that can harm friendly units. Take care when using these buildings.

 

Advanced Buildings Building Stats

Name: Shipyard

Hit Points: 1100

Cost: 800 gold 450 wood

Requires: Lumber Mill

Units Produced: Oil Tanker, Elven Destroyer, Gnomish Submarine, Battleship

The Shipyard produces the Oil Tanker that gathers your oil and also produces the Elven Destroyer and other sea units that require other buildings.

 

Name: Oil Rig

Hit Points: 650

Cost: 700 gold 450 wood

Requires: Shipyard

The Oil Rig is built on top of an oil patch and Oil tankers can gather oil and then deliver it to your shipyard.

 

Name: Oil Refinery 

Hit Points: 600

Cost: 800 gold 350 wood 200 oil

Requires: Shipyard

The oil also allows tankers to deliver oil to it instead of your shipyard, leaving space for sea units to built. It is cheaper to build and does the job of making oil collection faster. It also adds +25 per tanker load of oil.

 

Name: Foundry

Hit Points: 750

Cost: 700 gold 400 wood 400 oil

Requires: Shipyard

Upgrades: upgrade cannons x2, upgrade ship armour x2

The Foundry upgrades weapons, armour for all sea units and allows for production of Battleships and Transports.

 

Name: Keep

Hit Points: 1400

Cost: 2000 gold 1000 wood 100 oil

Requires: Townhall and Barracks

Units Produced: Peasants

The Keep allows for the constuction of the stables and gnomish inventor. It also increases the gold production to +10 per peasant load.

 

Name: Stables

Hit Points: 500

Cost: 1000 gold 300 wood

Requires: Keep

The Stables allows for production of Knights. Also required for building the Castle.

 

Name: Gnomish Inventor

Hit Points: 500

Cost: 1000 gold 400 wood

Requires: Keep

Unit Produced: Flying Machine, Dwarven Demolition Squad

The Gnomish Inventor allows for the production of Gnomish Submarines and produces Flying Machine and Demolition squads.

 

Name: Castle 

Hit Points: 1600

Cost: 2500 gold 1200 wood 500 oil

Requires: Barracks, Blacksmith, Lumber Mill and Stables

Unit Produced: Peasants

The Castle allows for the construction of the Gryphon Aviary, Church and Mage Tower. The Castle increases gold production to +25 per peasant load.

Requires: Castle

Unit Produced: Gryphon Riders

Produces Gryphon Riders

 

Name: Mage Tower

Hit Points: 500

Cost: 1000 gold 200 wood

Requires: Castle

Spells Learned: Fireball, Slow, Polymorph, Invisibility, Flame Shield, Blizzard

Unit Produced: Mages

The Mage Tower allows for production of Mages and six spells for them to learn.

 

Name: Church

Requires: Castle

Upgrades: Paladin

Spells Learned: Healing, Exorcism

The Church allows Kights to upgrade to Paladins and provides them with two extra spells to learn.

 

 

Orc Buildings

Unit Produced: Peon

The Great Hall is heart of the Orc Settlement as it produces the worker units that mine gold and wood, build and repair buildings and can also serve as a last defense.

The Pig Farm supplies the Horde with food for its warriors and they require these farms to be trained.

The Barracks allows for training of Grunts and ground units requiring other buildings.

 

Name: Troll Lumber Mill

Cost: 600 gold 450 wood

Requires: Townhall

Upgrades: upgrade throwing axe x2, Troll Berserker Training, Scouting, Lighter Axes, Troll Regeneration

Allows for production of Troll Axe Throwers and upgrades for weapons for the Troll Axe Thrower Berserker. It also adds 

+25 per peon.

 

 

Name: Blacksmith

Hit Points: 775

Cost: 800 gold 450 wood 100 oil

Requires: Great Hall

Upgrades: upgrade weapons x2, upgrade armour x2, upgrade catapults

Allows for production of Catapults and provides upgrades for ground melee weapons and armour and Catapult weapons. 

 

Name: Watch Tower

Hit Points: 100

Cost: 550 gold 150 wood

Requires: Great Hall

The watch tower gives you a better sight range allowing you to see attacks earlier. It can be upgraded to a guard tower or a cannon tower.

 

Name: Guard Tower

Hit Points: 100

Cost: 550 gold 150 wood

Requires: Lumber Mill Watch Tower

The Guard Tower shoots arrows at all units (land, sea and air). 

 

Name: Cannon Tower

Hit Points: 100

Cost: 550 gold 150 wood

Requires: Watch Tower Blacksmith

The Cannon is the strongest in Tower attacks, however it can only attack ground and sea units. It also does splash damage and can harm friendly units. Take care when using these towers.

Name: Shipyard

Requires: Troll Lumber Mill

Units Produced: Oil Tanker, Troll Destroyer, Turtle, Juggernaught

The Shipyard produces Oil Tankers used  to mine oil and deliver it to the Shipyard.  

 

Name: Oil Rig

Hit Points: 650

Cost: 700 gold 450 wood

Requires: Shipyard

Is the building used to mine oil for your settlement. Oil tankers can build them.

 

Name: Oil refinery

Hit Points: 600

Cost: 800 gold 350 wood 200 oil

Requires: Shipyard

The Refinery is a faster method of collecting oil as it is cheaper to build than a shipyard and can be built close to oil patches. It also adds +25 per tanker load.

 

Name: Foundry

Hit Points: 750

Cost: 700 gold 400 wood 400 oil

Requires: Shipyard

Upgrades: upgrade weapons x2, upgrade ship armour x2

The Foundry allows for production of Juggernaughts and Transports. It also has weapon and armour upgrades for all sea units.

 

Name: Stronghold

Hit Points: 1400

Cost: 2000 gold 1000 wood 200 oil

Requires: Barracks

Unit Produced: Peon

The Keep allows for the construction of the Ogre Mound and the Goblin Alchemist. It also adds +10 gold per peon load.

 

Name: Ogre Mound

Hit Points: 500

Cost: 1000 gold 300 wood

Requires: Stronghold

The Ogre Mound allows for the training of Ogres at the Barracks. It also is required for a Fortress.

 

Name: Goblin Alchemist

Hit Points: 500

Cost: 1000 gold 400 wood

Requires: Stronghold

Units Produced: Goblin Zeppelin, Goblins Sappers

The Goblin Alchemist  allows for production of Turtles at the Shipyard and the production of Zeppelins and Sappers.

 

Name: Fortress

Hit Points: 1600

Cost: 2500 gold 1200 wood 500 oil

Requires: Barracks, Lumber Mill, Ogre Mound

Unit Produced: Peon

The Fortress allows for construction of the Dragon Roost, Temple of the Damned and Altar of Storms. It also adds +25 gold per peon load.

Requires: Fortress

Unit Produced: Dragon

The Dragon Roost produces Dragons.

 

Name: Temple of the Damned

Hit Points: 500

Cost: 1000 gold 200 wood

Requires: Fortress

Spells: Haste, Death Coil, Whirlwind, Raise the Dead, Unholy Armour, Death and Decay 

Units Produced: Deathknight

Produces the Deathknight and has 6 spells for them.

 

Name: Altar of Storms

Hit Points: 700

Cost: 900 gold 500 wood

Requires: Fortress

Upgrades: Ogre-Mage

Spells: Blood Rush, Runes

The Ogre Mounds allows the Ogres to upgrade to Orge-Mages and allows them 2 spells.
