The World Senior Golf Association sponsored
its first tournament in 1959.
Four years later, thanks to the
efforts of three visionaries
--- William Thayer Tutt, Francis H.I. Brown
and Chick Evens ---
the Association was incorporated for the purpose of
promoting
"goodwill, understanding and fellowship among nations."
The
annual World Senior Golf Championship was born.
Today, the World Senior Golf
Association is the oldest organization of its kind.
Its
international membership of senior golfers gather each year to renew old
friendships, make new acquaintances and welcome players from around the
world into a special circle of fellowship and camaraderie. Each
August, the Association conducts a two-venue international tournament on
the
championship courses of the Broadmoor
Resort, a five-star resort in
magnificent Colorado Springs,
Colorado. This tournament features
the best of what the Association
founders fondly called
"a friendly spirit of competition and good
sportsmanship"
among senior amateur athletes.
Our members participate in the annual World Senior Golf Championship,
with
many players coming from as far away as Australia and South Africa
to compete.
We invite you to join this grand tradition of golf and fellowship,
