Our Plan
Our plan is to create a space for helping people help themselves by empowering them with the unbiased knowledge, leading edge tools, and innovative, effective technologies and disciplines that will allow them to take charge of their own lives by creating their own health, their own well-being, and their own abundance of time, energy and money. We will initially target innovators and early adopters in and approaching their prime spending years as we take advantage of the fundamental changes currently taking place in the healthcare industry and our society as a whole. We will begin by aggregating and sifting through all of the conflicting data and misinformation prevalent during significant changes in our society, and by bringing insights into new and alternative disciplines from leading edge teachers, healers and leaders in the areas of healthy living, disease treatment and prevention, planetary health, and money and abundance. We will then encourage the growth of this new awareness by making the most effective and powerful of these products, services, and technologies available through a dynamic, web-based, e-commerce solution that is scalable, easy to use, and above all client-friendly. We will facilitate the spread of this new awareness through an innovative word-of-mouth and network-marketing framework that fuels the growth of those on a path of personal transformation by encouraging these network partners to share and interconnect, by providing practical experience that helping others helps themselves, and by creating a foundation for financial independence and support for change that compels the movement of many more to utilize the connective, time-contracting properties the Internet can offer. We will move to teach these partners to reach out, network with and embrace their fellow human beings. We will teach them that as they simply learn to change their buying habits from that of a needs-driven, advertising-enacted consumer of products and services to a truth-empowered investor in their own health, their own well-being, and their own abundance, they are taking ownership of their actions and their life and setting in motion a self-exciting cycle of events that improves their life as they improve the lives of others. And as they find their lives improving, so are they able to help improve the lives of others even more, and so on, and so on, ad infinitum eventually coming to the realization that they are indeed living their life purpose and doing their life's work in a greater way.

The emerging markets of online health including vitamins and nutritional supplements, health oriented technologies and disciplines, and environmentally friendly household goods and services are ideal for our initial endeavors not only because they map well together, but because they allow us to focus on segments of the population that have a large number of innovators and early adopters who are more likely to respond to new ideas and new channels of distribution. These innovators and early adopters are excellent for our task of "spreading the word" because they are typically intelligent, enthusiastic, and eager to tell people how smart they are for finding and adopting the "next great thing" often becoming ardent supporters of what they believe to be a truly worthy endeavor. By focusing on these segments in the market we can also reduce our initial capital outlays and hone our business model while creating a foundation for growth. Once dominant in these niches, we can identify additional markets ripe for change, spread to these markets and repeat, thereby leveraging the acceptance of the innovators and early adopters into greater acceptance as these markets grow.

Market Strategy
Not content to passively allow markets to develop, we intend to work to move the markets by utilizing a network-marketing approach through multiple venues that bring information and awareness of a lifestyle and an opportunity that many may not have been aware, thereby actively pulling potential client-partners into the market. Initially starting with three venues, venue one, the World Service Organization, will focus on empowering our partners to fulfill their life purpose and do their life's work by encouraging and supporting their endeavors through the development and teaching of new skills and new techniques that promote growth and change while encouraging our partners to take full advantage of products and services that support their health, their well-being, and their increased abundance. Venue two, The Planetary Commission on health, well-being and abundance, will provide a forum to interact, to discuss, and to promote new thought in the areas of health, well-being, and abundance by providing access to the vision and insight of teachers, healers and leaders from around the world. And venue three, quantumNEXT, will provide the framework upon which our client-partners can build a financial foundation that supports change. It will carry the products and act as the e-commerce platform for our enterprise. This multiple venue approach will also serve the dual purpose of enabling those client-partners who aren't yet ready for all of the areas of growth we offer to focus on the ones for which they are ready without distraction while allowing us to engage them and keep them close until they are ready to open to more.
Product Strategy
An important component to our success will be making products available that are effective, promote the health of our bodies, minds and planet, and are priced attractively. To this end one of the standards to which we will adhere in determining whether a product or service will be made available through us is to ask ourselves, would we want our families and friends to use it? All of the products we carry will be pre-screened for purity and clarity and typically be the best in their category taking into account the following two major factors, 1) its effectiveness, and 2) its total cost including any long-term costs such as extra packaging that might add to land-fill costs or shipping costs, its effect on the environment that might lead to additional clean-up costs down the road, its effects on long term health which might lead to additional health expenditures later, etc. Other important factors we will want to consider include: Are the products or their packaging bio-degradable or environmentally friendly in some way? Was the product or its components organically grown? Does it promote health, an increased sense of well-being, or financial independence? Is it wise, practical technology? Was it produced using "planet and people friendly" methods (i.e. was it produced using adult labor under clean, safe working conditions)? And/or does it in some way save time or energy?

Above all, we will stress quality over quantity often carrying only one brand of a particular item. This will not only make it easier for our client-partners to find what they're looking for rather than having to search through 50,000 or more items, but will allow us to focus on providing only the best products, services and information.

The information we provide about each of the products and services we offer will include any research we may have done and links to that research, but will also supply the reasons behind our decision to offer the product or service so that each person, whether they are experienced or inexperienced, shall have at their disposal all of the information needed to make an informed decision of their own. This will help our client-partners save time and energy while instilling in them a sense of trust about our products and services and our motives behind making them available.

Some examples of these products include vitamins, minerals and other nutritional supplements from healthy, natural, and pure sources that have shown themselves to be effective in promoting a healthy body and mind, household goods that offer a more healthful alternative to many of the common household goods used today such as hypo-allergenic paper products, full spectrum high-efficiency light bulbs, or organically produced non-perishable items, household appliances that offer some sort of advantage such as cleaner air, water, or the use of less energy, health aids such as tread-mills or alarm clocks that support dream retention and better sleep through a less disruptive way to awaken, tools for spiritual and personal growth such as music, seminars and guided meditations on tape, some books, and perhaps in the future organic fruits and vegetables that have not been irradiated or sprayed with chemicals or had oil or wax applied to their exteriors for beautification, digital music, seminar, and guided meditation downloads, streaming media to listen to samples of music and teachers, and online classes in yoga, meditation, finances, etc.

Sales & Marketing Strategy
Important to our rapid acceptance and expansion is a sales and marketing strategy that is simple--offer excellent products that are attractively priced and spread the word about the benefits via a cost-effective, networked referral system that adds value. We will utilize the expertise of client-partners who already shop and utilize the products and services we offer to teach others how and why they will want to do the same. To promote this strategy each client-partner who refers others to our site(s) will receive 5% of the purchase price of all of the goods and services the referred person invests in with us during their lifetime paid on a monthly basis. In addition, we will pay 5% of the purchase price of all of the goods and services their referral's referrals invest in with us during their lifetime as well up to four steps removed. This strategy will not only further word-of-mouth business, but will encourage entrepreneurial ventures among the more motivated of our client-partners, result in greater creativity among them, and promote the movement of communication up and down the referral network as people share what works and what doesn't in their endeavors to spread the word, heal their lives, and create financial prosperity and success for themselves and others.

To further support our rapid, effortless expansion, we must remove all barriers to growth. There are many reasons people use when asked why they don't shop more or at all on the Internet. Whether it is due to concerns about privacy, credit card fraud, or something else, they believe the potential for pain is far greater than any savings in time, energy or money. It therefore becomes imperative that we create a visitor experience where shopping becomes a "no-brainer". An experience where privacy is protected and where trust and convenience are paramount. An experience based upon the principles of truth, where a potential customer can visit and come to know that they will receive the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. An experience that offers extensive product info, real-time order confirmations, and 24/7 customer service. An experience that offers the advantage of payment partners who indemnify against Internet fraud while offering the convenience of a variety of payment options including ATM, bank draft, pre-paid smart card, or credit card. And an experience that promotes a sense of control by allowing our client-partners to easily check online order status, choose shipping options, and schedule shipping days on a weekly, monthly or any other basis as far as a year in advance while also allowing them to review what they have previously ordered up to a year in the past.

We will offer a return policy that is fair and liberal, but one that will not tolerate abuses. In conjunction with our distribution partner(s) we will make returns as simple as possible to complete. Under some circumstances instead of paying to have an item shipped back to us, we may ask the client-partner requesting to return the item to arrange for a needy organization in their area to receive it. Once we get a name and a non-profit organization identification number back, we will credit our client-partner's account for making the return. Thus, we can explore writing off certain returns as a charitable contribution rather than paying extra to have the item shipped back to us while creating good-will where we might otherwise have lost a customer.

Our pricing will generally be attractive due to the cost-effective word-of-mouth approach to advertising we will use. Along with displaying the price of an item, we will also show a price that includes domestic shipping (and taxes, when required in the future) to make it easier for potential buyers to comparison shop with "brick and mortar" stores. If we are in fact the best at what we do, we should not be afraid to help people make the decision that is best for them.

Our client-partners will not be required to pay any money to join, or to refer others. They will not be required to make any minimum purchases before benefiting, or be required to maintain any minimum monthly purchase amount. However, we will also offer choice by offering the advantages of membership to those who choose this route. Because many people find little value in something that does not cost them money, we will offer a $4.95 membership for those who wish to save even further. With their investment of $4.95 they will gain the benefit of free domestic ground shipping when they invest more than $50 in products and services in a single order and will receive a 10% rebate on the products and services in a single order if they invest $100 or more in that order. This attractive membership program will serve to encourage larger purchases which tend to increase revenue while lowering aggregate distribution costs. It will also serve to increase the number of repeat visitors because members will have invested money (no matter how small) and will want to get the most out of that investment.
Jump-starting the network
A recent study conducted by the Pew Internet and American Life Project queried 12,000 people recently about their online habits in order to discover how the Internet has changed the way people make health decisions. About 47% of those seeking help for themselves said the answers they received from sites on the Internet influenced their decisions about treatment, and 36% of people looking on behalf of others said the same. They also noted that while WebMD and DrKoop.com have emerged to provide answers to health questions, most of the people surveyed had a "scattershot searching activity" that brought them to many sites. "The vast majority of people are doing health searches on their own," without help from advertisements, doctors, friends or anyone else. "They're going to search engines and just typing words." The information seekers were said to have most liked sites with broad search engines. 86% of the seekers said they were concerned about getting unreliable health information. Still, 64% of the respondents said they had never heard about the Web sites they ended up consulting before they began their search.

To take advantage of these online tendencies in order to jump-start our "e-commerce" network we will invest in traditional advertising on some of these broad-based search engines especially those that allow us to pay to improve the placement of our site listings such as goto.com or even google. We will also provide links to some sites that offer traditional healthcare information such as The Mayo Clinic's mayohealth.org and seek to develop cross-promotional relationships with "brick and mortar" stores specializing in spiritual awareness, online endeavors that promote change and personal growth, churches and organizations that promote new thought, whole foods markets, and healers. We may even target some offline periodicals focused on natural health, new thought, and/or entrepreneurship as possibilities for an initial advertising investment.
Encouraging network growth
A somewhat longer term stratagem for network growth will be to improve our placement on these broad-based search engines by encouraging the creation of new websites by our client-partners. We can provide tools and online expertise as they utilize one of the many free web-site creation communities currently available on the Internet such as Geo-cities or Homestead. These websites can provide an important platform for our client-partners to link with prospective participants while providing an important avenue for making their life's work available to many more.

We will also move to utilize simple online technology that allows our client-partners to put links on their web browser to our home page, shopping, and sign-up pages. We will add a section to our site(s) offering to help people find groups in their area aligned with their awakening beliefs, and we will utilize e-mail to notify our client-partners of upcoming events and new opportunities in their area with a link back to us and a link offering to send the e-mail message to a friend. And perhaps most importantly, we will provide a link on the "order confirmation" page each time someone makes a purchase that asks the client-partner if they have a friend or family member (or several) they would like to e-mail about us, because the best time to ask for a referral is when a purchaser is at their most satisfied, and there is no other time a person is more satisfied with or enthusiastic about a purchase than when they have just placed their order.

We will give new and experienced client-partners alike the tools they need to succeed by providing online teacher and leader seminars, information on how to effectively market and sell, insights on how to get their work out to the world in a greater way, and by teaching the principles of a successful enterprise and how it fits in with personal growth, transformation and their life purpose and life's work. We will also make them aware as new products become available, as changes are about to be made to the prices of products they have ordered in advance, of special offers and tools, and of new information on issues, techniques, and disciplines in which they may be interested. And best of all we will empower our client-partners with the control of what types of information they would like to receive and how often they would like to receive it. We will also encourage two-way communication through e-mail and message boards because feedback will help us refine our offerings by keeping us in touch with what our client-partners really want and need most.

And in the future as our society moves more and more to mobile web-enabled devices like wireless personal digital assistants, we will move to enable our client-partners to access information and sign up new members on the fly. Using their mobile web connection, they will be able to retrieve information on orders, submit new orders, and demonstrate the benefits of our value proposition all in the palm of their hands.

There are no special formulas, no special actions, no difficult changes required, just a willingness to believe, a willingness to learn, and an openness to receive. By not burdening our client-partners with worries about the quality of the products, by not requiring a lot of paperwork (paperless), by not requiring our client-partners to learn any complex payout formulas or point values or by requiring them to pay a monthly fee or sign up for any of our other services, or make them do ANYTHING except tell the truth and spread "word-of-mouth", we will be enabling a dynamic, enthusiastic advertising engine with incredible reach!
Business Strategy
In order to bring our ambitious goals to fruition and realize the success of our endeavors, it is important that we plan for success from the very beginning in everything we do. This requires that we must assume success in all of our decisions from setting up our systems with scalability to providing the proper documentation needed as we grow and seek additional capital financing. It also requires that we employ the best lawyers, accountants, and public relations consultants we can while enlisting the assistance of the best financial sources available as we assemble a professional and knowledgeable board of directors all of whom will have the ability to guide us to and link us with a strong system of strategic partners.


Strategic partnerships
One of the most important components of our strategy of success is the utilization of the Internet to its fullest extent. The venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson notes, "the Internet is a medium where a business model leveraging the benefits of the web by extensively utilizing a network of strategic partnerships can spread easily, un-tethered by the physical domain restraints of manufacturing ramps and physical distribution." To receive the greatest benefit from these strategic partnerships it is important for them to be productive, synergistic win-win situations for all concerned. We must have the complete cooperation of and backing from the highest levels of our partner organizations. Our strategic partners must have common goals, common integrity, and accountability who are preferably committed to lead their markets rather than follow. Together, we shall decide how our goals are to be measured. And to ensure smooth operation and equitable and effective dispute resolution, we will need to know in advance who will be the "owner" of each component of the partnership.
Risk strategy
To increase the probability of success it is also important that everything we do be about reducing risk. One way to accomplish this goal is to not sacrifice our schedule or our quality. If something must be sacrificed, then we can sacrifice features. It often isn't until we go to market anyway that we really know what features are wanted and needed by our audience.
Staffing and General Compensation Strategies
In order to attract top talent while keeping our overhead at an optimum level, we shall explore the extensive use of strategic partnerships. This requires that we replace the typical job description and the narrow range of skills and abilities often found in them with "results descriptions" as a guide to clarify our needs and objectives. We will look for people and partnerships who are intelligent, self-motivated, with an innovative nature, and a willingness to be more. It is far easier to engage open-minded, intelligent individuals with some of the necessary skills willing to learn and work toward our greater goals than someone who appears to have all of the skills we believe necessary to fix our short term pain, but who is unable to grow with us in the long term.

Our objective will be enabling everyone who works within the framework of the organization, whether they be employee-partner, client-partner or strategic partner, to be entrepreneurial in nature by allowing each partner to act in the organization's best interest at all times knowing that they have been empowered with the shared knowledge of and the ability to focus on the goals of the ENTIRE organization. This trust will help encourage everyone working in concert with the organization to take ownership of their actions, and therefore ownership in our successes rather than simply being a subordinate taking orders from a "superior".

Consistent with our philosophy of an open organizational structure we intend to make the vesting of any bonuses, stock options, and equity positions based as often as possible on performance milestones rather than on longevity milestones. For example, rather than having equity positions vest over 3, 5 or 7 years we would instead vest a portion of the equity upon reaching milestones such as the successful exit of our original investors whether it be through acquisition or through an equity offering, reaching profitability, reaching profitability in successive quarters, reaching pre-determined shares of our target markets, and/or reaching specific revenue targets.

In addition, it is important to develop a long-term equity plan and a long-term staffing plan that we can show people as they join our organization. This will help prevent misunderstandings and problems later on as we grow by setting expectations early. A good example would be to show how dilution works, and to spell out our employee-partnership, client-partnership and strategic partnership expectations while allowing all of this information to be accessed via the web.
Strategy Summary
Just as a venture capital firm or a high-technology incubator adds value by cutting the time and energy it takes to start and grow a successful enterprise, we intend to act in much the same way, but in the area of personal growth and transformation. By utilizing the connectivity features of the Internet to teach, heal, and lead people to greater financial independence, a greater belief in themselves and their abilities, and empower them to make informed decisions about their health, their lifestyle, and their career, we intend to cut the time and energy it currently takes to find purpose and achieve self-actualization while making it possible for some who might not have achieved it at all in their lifetime.
