This week on World Superstar...our top 6 will be performing 80's hits. But of course, there were people who couldn't get their songs in, like always. And it's a very sad goodbye for...Lauren and Tom. Lauren, you were great and one of the front-runners and it's too bad you had to drop out. Tom...it sucks that your song coudln't get sent!! You had a really good chance in the top 5 and it sucks to see you go. This is the way things go in online competitions and it really sucks. But our top four are ready to perform and here we go! This week, we have a special guest judge, Heather. She is the winner of a few online competitions including Virtual Pop Idol, she's a judge in The Next Big Thing, and trust me, this girl knows music. Thanks for joining us Heather. I'm sorry if some of the songs don't work...they will if they don't now. First up tis Jordan singing "Proud Mary" Kelly - I saw Tina Turner in concert. Awesome performer. Anyway, back on track (no pun intended). This is the super slowed down version! Wow, never heard this song so slow. You’re gonna win this contest. That’s all I have to say about that! Can you send me this karaoke? :P Matt – You’re definitely one of the front-runners, for sure, and I think you are just great all the time, what can I say. You will most likely win this competition as Kelly said, the other contestants better watch out. You’re a star! Heather – You sound good here Jordan, but you sound strained in the beginning parts of each line. Good song choice for sure, just needs a bit more energy. Overall my pick for best for the night, even though your competition isn’t huge right now. ***** Next is Ross with the Richard Marx hit "Right Here Waiting" Kelly - Kick ass song. Bonus points for this one. Sounds like the lower notes are a bit hard for you to hit…hmm. You know…this is gonna sound mean, but honestly I don’t mean it to sound that way. The sound of your voice reminds me of William Hung. BUT, you KNOW how to use your voice and you sound different. If William Hung COULD sing, I imagine this is what he’d sound like. Really, I like it though. At the beginning I wasn’t sure but towards the end I like it! Only one suggestion. Maybe work on transition between notes. At the end, the vibrato on “Chance” kicked ass, but, you lost the note after it completely. Matt – Wow, you just get better every week. You’re making me like your voice even more every week. Plus I love the song, so yeah. And truly…I agree a bit with Kelly…meaning, I do think you sound like Will Hung, but like 100 times better…don’t worry, you’re great! Heather – You are over enunciating big time buddy. It takes away from your tone, which is good, but it sounds overdone and flat. Not my favorite. I can tell there is a good voice in there for sure- just needs to be found. ***** More Performances...
