WYD REFLECTION

           By Chloe

Religion for me is a way of expressing my faith a way of showing other people how I feel about God and Jesus. Our religion has some really great parts to it, active parts, ways of doing and not simply sitting around and allowing our faith to be inactive and stale.

Rome was a place where we were constantly showing, being together and sharing our collective religion and learning about each others faith. It felt fantastic to be part of that and all those other millions of young people who wanted to do the same.

Doing, showing is so important to our religion and our faith, it helps them both to grow. Going to Toronto would be another great chance to enhance this part of me more than I realised on the trip itself, I'm still feeling the benefits of it, the friends I made, the sense of unity and belonging and much more. So many chances in life can pass us by, don't let this be one of them.
The Diocese of East Anglia is situated in the east of England and consists of the counties of Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. The diocese is large and has an active youth service which sends a large group of young people to World Youth Days. Last year the group sent the largest group from England and the interest for Toronto 2002 is currently 100! Sr. Barbara Brent is the organiser of  East Anglia's WYD group and has given me permission to publish this reflection by Chloe.
