Moon
'I think I saw a hole on the moon, black with its darkness of missing gloom.'
'What have you been smoking for Gods sake? You really oughta cut that shit, girl, rots your brain away!'Uls replied with force. 'And actually you should stop smoking at all, no good for nothing all that huffing and puffing.' He continued. Poking into the fiery fire with a stick, and pushing new fuel gently to its final place, Uls looked up from his fire unto the dreamy girl who stand away from the fire, to get a glance of the moonlight.
Above the fire, a big piece of meat speared on a branch was slowly being turned around by a small creature standing beside it. Abis, who looked much like a tiny ghost, his little white wade covering all his limps, looked at his work, undisturbed as the brightness in its eyes shining out of the dark hood twinkled like the stars with excitement. Annuschka turned around.
'Ya should eat some good food, eh? Some meat will do you good.' The redheared man went on to her. Dressed in normal jeans and trousers, he looked much like a nobody you can find on any street. Then why did her intuition told her that he is her guide to the Lexico, she wondered. Could it be that he showed some signs of mastering, no not mastering, it is steered yes, but chaos is never mastered.
Annuschka took another look at the moon. Taking a deep breath from the reever she put to her mouth, and as she exhaled slowly, she let her mind ride on the wave of consciousness, exploring with newfound thoughts the sea of possibilities, where old thoughts drifted and were lost. Uls, with his little silent Imp and the playfullness of a child, was nowhere to be seen. '….and who taught you to smoke that anyway? I mean, if I was your…..'
'Sorry, you were saying?' she said disturbed. 'I was not paying attention.' Now she was smiling. Uls couldn't help but to feel wrong about this girl, she looked so young, he guessed fourteen, but she had the wicked ways of an old woman. 'How old are you, really?'he asked, speaking his mind outloud. Her eyes shone with sudden amazement, and she walked very slowly towards the fire, wagling her hips and giving a warm smile. 'Well, what do you think, loverboy?'she asked, licking her lips, taunting him. 'Stop that! I mean it, sometimes it is like there is a person inside you, craving to get out!'Uls replied with a certain caution. She simply smiled. 'What made you like this?' he asked.
'It is not what, but Who, Uls…. And that is not of your business. If ever you would set your eyes upon His might, you will scream in madness and your eyes will cry their blood.' She forwarned with a voice sooth as silk. Uls looked her with a look full disgust, and then turned away from her pricking eyes. She is weird. Maybe it was not such a good idea to take her with him on his trip, but where could she go to? In reply he told himself that a wicked girl like her could go anyway she would pleases, and somehow he felt that she had nothing to fear from these lands, although plagued they are by raiders and tresspassers as themselves.
'You…!' and Uls poked his stick at Annuschka, '..Are not as you look…' Uls now stood up half stumbling, '..And I do not like that….' He finished, the words slowly coming out.
