FREAKED
copyright 1993
Freaky Deaky!  This is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.  If you have the same warped sense of humor that I've got, you'll probably love it.

Alex Winter (Bill S. Preston, esq.) stars as Ricky Coogan, an actor famous for the title role of the
Ghost Dude movies who takes a trip to South America with his friend, Ernie (Tony from Blossom).  They hook up with a feminazi activist (Megan Ward, PCU), but are soon kidnapped by a mad showman named Elijah Skuggs (Randy Quaid).  He uses some toxic goop called Zygrot-24 to transform people into mutants for his freakshow.  Ricky soon becomes The Beast Boy, an ugly ass half-man half monster.

After being transformed, they're put in a shack with other freaks, including a bearded lady played by Mr. T, a dude with a huge nose, a guy with a sock puppet head played by Bobcat Goldthwait, a human worm, Rosie the Pinhead, a guy that farts fire, an inanimate hammer that has a flashback, and Dog Boy played by Ted Theodore Logan himself, Keanu Reeves.  There are also cameos from Larry "Bud" Melman, Brooke Shields, Morgan Fairchild, and William Sadler.  Other highlights include machine gun toting Rastafarian eyeballs, an ugly little kid named Stuey that shares a special bond with Ricky, even though he got pushed out of an airplane by Coogan, and no less than 12 freaks trying to escape the freakshow by dressing as milkmen.

The movie is like a Mel Brooks film on crack.  The freaks are outrageous and there are tons of great one liners.  It may be too crude and stupid for some, but maybe that's why I love it.

3 out of 5.  This movie is cheesy, dumb, gross, and hilarious.
