        Fredericton Loppet

A huge thank-you to everyone who volunteered to work at the Loppet on Sunday, and to Ian Smith and his colleagues at Mactaquac Park for opening the lodge and trails to Wostawea on Sunday February 1. The park’s men were out working on the trails at 7 am Sunday morning while most of us were just getting out of bed.

A total of 130 skiers registered for the Loppet this year. Thank-you also to everyone who contributed sweets for the dessert table, everyone with a sweet tooth had lots of choice! And finally thanks to all the skiers who turned out, without you there would be no Loppet. Your smiles at the finish line were beautiful! Please come again next year and bring a friend.

Found at the Loppet on Sunday:

  • one purple balaclava
  • One pair of women’s black Isotoner gloves
  • One pair of L.L. Bean women’s nylon wind pants, black , X-L
  • One clear Rubbermaid container with blue top, (it had muffins in it I think)
  • One green tucker ware plastic rectangular container (had chocolate sweets in it)
