Grolm Grolm
weigh between three and five hundred pounds. They have sharp beaks, hooked for ripping flesh. They also have three eyes, though they do not have the disturbing glint of intelligence that the torm have. Their hides are thick and tough, enough so to turn most blows from axes or swords. Even arrows are
unable to pierce these leathery hides. They easily shake off small wounds, and are seldom slowed except my a mortal injury. A vulnerable spot, such as an eye, is the only reliable spot to injure a grolm
. Grolm appear very awkward when walking, but it is when running that they display their true
speed and agility. Large leaps and bounds move them at great speed toward their prey. The grolm also have keen vision, and a very good sense of smell. Grolm are
also known as being extremely territorial. As such, they make excellent guard animals. They can quickly be taught who is allowed in a given area, and their sense of smell
enables them to distinguish those who are nervous or afraid. In the wild, grolm appear to be pack animals. But in captivity they have been known to turn
against one another unless they are properly controlled by a morat’grolm. |
