Shaidar Haran

     Shaidar Haran is one of the Great Lord’s most formidable servants.  Shaidar Haran is a Myrddraal, but a Myrddraal unlike any other.

than one in the Trolloc tongue.  However, it is his other powers which make him formidable.  Among the most dangerous of these abilities is his ability to cut a person off from the True Source.

     Shaidar Haran is clearly a very special servant of the Great Lord.  Even the Forsaken obey when he commands.  As he says to Graendal, “When I speak, you may consider that you hear the voice of the Great Lord of the Dark...  I am his hand in the world...  When you stand before me, you stand before him.” ¹

     Shaidar Haran overseeing the trapping of Moghedien’s free will in a cour’souvra is an excellent example of his standing and power among those serving the Shadow.  He is even more frightening to the Forsaken while in the Pit of Doom, where the Forsaken are forbidden to channel

     Shaidar Haran is obviously an entity to be feared, not only by servants of the Light, but also by other servants of the Dark One.
