Kilconlea or (Kilkinlea as per map below) is located about 3 miles from Abbeyfeale on the main Limerick-Killarney road. As you can see the famous river Feale(An Fheil) embraces Kilconlea and forms the border between Limerick and Kerry.

Note : Feale's Bridge is referred to as Wellesley Bridge on map.

A new road will be built over the next couple of years that will bypass existing bridge and greatly enhance safety in the area. This new road,bridge and ancillary works is now part of the (NDP) National Development Plan. Tenders have been requested by Nov. 2001 with work to commence in the Spring of 2002.
