PERSONAL EVALUATION:   The doctrinal division of the book of Hebrews ends.  The argument rests: The Father, Son, and Spirit have provided eternal salvation.  “Therefore” follows verse 19; the author begins to teach the logical application of the truth.  And what is that truth?  Look at the summary before proceeding: the priesthood of Christ makes straight our access to God, makes sure our intercession, and makes our consciences clean.  Do you believe that?  Now we begin to look at how that truth should affect our behavior.
