Salvation!”

Three Reasons to Heed Christ’s Call/Message:

1. The Character of Christ (2:1, “therefore”)

2. The Coming Judgment (2:2-3)

3. The Confirmation of the Message (2:3-4)

BIBLICAL TEACHING RE: ANGELS

Their primary calling: the worship and adoration of Christ (Rev 5: 6-14)

They are Servants of God (they serve, they do not reign)

“ministering spirits” v. 14

They are bidden to Protect/Deliver (Daniel, Elisha, Lot, Peter)

They can act as Agents of Judgment

They are highly organized, divided into ranks, given specific

tasks

They do not marry or procreate

They can assume other forms

They are not subject to death

Some fell away along with Lucifer, and will be judged (Jude 6)

Held in reverence by the Jews b/c of their role in delivering the

Old Covenant to Moses (Acts 7:37-38, 53)
