Meeting of August 21, 1999

Unfortunately I lost all my notes from the meeting so I'm writing this from memory which may or may not be good enough.

First order of business was introductions. Martha brought her sister and we had three new attendees. Mary who joined us at this meeting and Carrie and Monica who we expect will come to the next meeting. and hopefully will decide to join.

Secondly, it was announced that we are now an officially chartered chapter of Women On Wheels® . The charter is dated July 27,1999

We talked a bit about the duties of the various officers.. I will copy pages from the chapter handbook for each officer.

We also talked about compiling a ride calender for next year. Each of us will bring favorite events or rides to the table and we will make a listing and vote on what we will be able to include in our calender. We discussed a Ride of the Month (ROTM) It would just be a monthly ride to provide some continuity besides our monthly meetings. Any suggestions that you have will be gratefully accepted.

Monica designed a patch for us that has been sent to the WOW Board of Trustees for approval. Safety information that Debby Krause provided our chapter with was given to attending members .

The upcoming events were discussed.

All that went to the Renaissance Faire had a good time.. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and the ride there was excellent.
The Faire is always a great way to spend the day.

A number of us attended the Bikers Against Cancer run on Aug 22. It was also a great success.
If I missed anything or if anyone has Mary's address please contact me.
