Ride of the Month
Rides of the month will be enjoyed immediately following our regularly scheduled meetings. Warm weather will be upon us before you know it, so if you have any ideas or destinations in mind, please share them with us! We'd love to go! Charity Observation Ride Ellen Marsili came to our meeting to help us put together an Observation Ride to raise funds for our chosen charity, McHenry's Home of the Sparrow, Inc. It was decided that Sunday, June 4th, 2000 might be a good day to have the ride. Tentative Schedule: 10:00a.m. - Register 12:00p.m. - Last bike out. The 75-mile (estimated) Observation Ride would include stops at places like Kelly's Leathers, the Chocolate Factory, etc.--provided they're open on Sundays. (Please contact Monica to provide her with ideas for stops.) To raise funds, it was decided that we would have a 50/50 and raffles. The ride would end at a time TBD, at Crandel's in Lake Geneva. Ellen will talk to Crandel's, Kelly's, and the Chocolate shop. She also volunteered to digitize our new logo artwork and get patch estimates. All attendees agreed to find 5 stores each to donate products for our raffle in exchange for advertisement. Monica volunteered to work with Ellen to design a flyer and ads for us to distribute and use as sales aids when we go looking for raffle prize sponsors. Monica's number is 847-658-0477. We still need a roll of double-stub raffle tickets as well as wrist-bands or hand stamps to "tag" ride participants. If you have any suggestions or ideas about the Observation Ride, please
contact Lynda DiGregor at: digregor@stans.com or telephone at:
