Many thanks to Suzanne for the great job she did conducting the meeting and writing the newletter . She was able to address many topics and come up with a ride of the month.

Hope to see many more of you at the meetings.

Meeting of September 15, 2000

The Red Hawk Riders' meeting of September 16th was a pleasant one. The day was sunny and crisp; great for riding. Only a few of the usual attendees showed up for the meeting (is everyone fearing the cold already?). Lynda and Ralph decided to take the weekend and go up to Tomahawk to lust after some new Harleys; consequently, they were unable to attend. Maxine Smith, Monica Rice, Carrie Kozell, and yours truly (Suzanne Palm) were there to keep the fire burning in Lynda's absence. We also had a couple newbies in attendance. Carol Keinz and her friend, Gene Borreson took the trip in from Rockford on their respective Silver and Gold Wings to join the group and check us out. We're glad they did and hope to see them again in the future

A calender will be created for next year using these suggestions. If you want to add your two cents please don't be shy ..
    Speak up now.

    WOW RIDE-IN

  • Lynda has decided that she is definitely going to go to the next WOW Ride-In and would like to establish a headcount of others who can also make that committment. If you're interested, let her know.

The 2001 Ride in will be in Redding, California. We can hook up with another WOW chapter from Wisconsin.

    OTHER
It was suggested that we have quicker meetings on the days when a run/ride is scheduled. It was also suggested that we make our meeting times a little later during the colder months when no rides are scheduled.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:15pm, and we all went for a ride out to Nielsen's in Lake Villa (we had to get some gloves for poor Monica's cold, red hands!) Hope to see more of you there next time, on October 21st, 2000; Lynda will be back then.
