National Business & Itinerant Frequencies

Several firms from Motorola to Ritron (Jobcom) market radios aimed at business users for low powered local communications systems. In the past most have been crystal controlled using one of the "Star or Dot" marking systems. Motorola recently introduced a version of their SP-10 portable which was field programmable to any of the frequencies listed in a particular band, VHF or UHF.

You should program your mobile/portable scanner with ALL of these frequencies to check at malls, constructions sites, amusement parks etc..

Local Control

The FCC has set aside the following frequencies for "local control" of business operations like malls, warehouses, school campuses and the like. A power limit of 110W and antenna height restriction of 100ft. above ground apply. These along with the Itinerants & Dot/Star frequencies should always be programmed into a bank to check.
