Amsterdam hosts the Girouxes
Amsterdam is world famous for two things.  One is the Red Light District and the other is the "coffee shops."  We did NOT visit either of those, but we did have a great time in the city of a million canals!  Below are some photos of our trip.

Beverley thought this was kind of a funny picture.  It was a good thing that this person had a lock on their bike.
This is a photo of the Royal Palace of Amsterdam.  Whenever the members of the Dutch Royal Family are in town, they stay at this palace.  One of the differences between this and Buckingham that I noticed was that there was no big fence around the building.

This is a photo of a biker in Amsterdam.  Amsterdam has plenty of bikes.  Actually, they have bike lanes, where the cars and pedestrians have to watch out because the bikers have the right of way.

This is a photo of the Dutch's two true loves.  Canals and Bikes.
This is a picture of the Rijk Museum.  It was under renovations and we were more interested in the Van Gogh museum more.  So we did not go in, but this is a photo of the bank.

OK, so this might be a sily picture, but we fell in love with the Rabobank.  Basically, the map that we were looking must have been supplied by Rabobank because it had all the streets and every Rabobank in Amsterdam.  It was quite funny.  Also, since Amber and David deal with the Rabobank, we were able to get into the Van Gogh Museum for half price.  We love the Rabobank!
