Hello sathek

I heard some MDT6/A2002 people speak of this.

They said use File->ETransmit then browse for a folder on your computer to recieve it.
The contents of this folder can now be zipped up and sent as an attachment to an email or put up on the net to be downloaded or whatever. The recipient can unzip them and they work.

In your case you just want them in a second folder as your back up although you may elect to then zip them up.
I have MDT4 and it does not have eTransmit.

I did a google search on 'eTransmit' and confirmed it is in MDT5.

See http://www.cadalyst.com/exclusive/lt/2001lt/lt20-1lt.htm

Dont be put off by talk of Autocad Light or Autocad, it applies to all the Autocad family including the verticals like MDT and ADT.

Summary
From your assembly file do a last save.
File->eTransmit (get the Transmittal dialog box).
Select the General tab and use the following settings:-
Type: Folder (set of files)
Location: A folder that's separate from your main project folder
Preserve directory structure: Off (unchecked)
Remove paths from xrefs and images: On (checked)
Send e-mail with transmittal: Off (unchecked)
Make Web page files: Off (unchecked)

These setting are just to get all the bits and pieces into folder independantly of the original path references so it works when its emailed and other authors and Autodesk tuts drive you make selections that fire it off as an email but this Mark Middlebrook who is very clueful knows maybe you just want it local on your own machine and you can zip it and send it somewhere once you have it if you really want to.

Note
MDT3 people try to use Pack'n Go Utility in Bonus Tools
MDT4 people try to use Pack'n Go Utility in Express Tools
eTransmit is a refinement of Pack'n Go introduced into the main program from MDT5/A2000i on.

Cheers all,
Aussie John
