1949. WARREN RANDOLPH (RANDY) CUSHING
Sex: M
Birth: 27 May 1949 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Death:

Warren Randolph Cushing attended King Edward and Mount Royal public schools. He was unable to write his Grade 9 final exams because he broke his collar bone after slipping on the ice while curling at the Glencoe Club in Calgary. So his mother wrote them for him! He, of course, had to dictate everything to her.
Then he attended Central High for the last year it was open, before transferring to Western Canada High School (both in Calgary). He was an accomplished pianist (Seventh year Conservatory of Toronto), and pursued a BFA degree in Theater Management and Directing at Mount Royal College in 1967. Then he attended the University of Calgary for an MBA degree in Business Management.
After travelling extensively throughout Canada, Mexico and the United States, he moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to work as a Sales Clerk for the Canada Post Office.
He returned to Calgary in 1976, at his father's request to become the Sales Manager of A.B.Cushing Mills; and from 1980 to December 1988 he was the General Manager thereof. In 1988 he travelled with his father to Milan, Italy for an International Trade Fair where A.B. Cushing Mills became one of three woodworking manufacturers in North America to embrace laser cutting and engraving technology. Then he spent a month's vacation just touring Europe and visiting Venice, London, Paris, Stockholm and Monte Carlo. He was affectionately known to all as "Randy" in honor of his grandfather.
