Note:
William was Captain of the 6th Fusiliers, Montreal, in 1878, and later Captain of the 11th Argenteuil Rangers. Removed to Elkhorn, Manitoba, in 1884, and has taken an active interest in municipal affairs, serving his district as Councillor and Reeve for 8 years, and has also been prominently identified with every progressive movement of the then pioneer settlement of this district.
