Your Jess's parents were William M. and Sara Emily (Taylor) Cushing. William was born 17 Nov 1844 in GA and died 08 Dec 1935. Sara was born 27 Apr 1841 and died 14 Mar 1928. Both are buried at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery near Altoona, Etowah County, AL.
From William M. Cushing's Civil War Pension Application, I picked up Jesse and her siblings: Mollie, Robert, Talley, Toney and Billy. That is all I have on William and Sara. But would like more descendants to add to my Cushing data base.
The parents of William M. and Joseph Seigh Cushing were William and Sarah (Kirby) Cushing. Both born in SC. Don't know their birth, death and marriage data. However, their first four children were born in TN before moving to GA and then to AL.

Hi Brian, I descend from Joseph Seigh Cushing born 29 Apr 1840 in TN. He had a younger brother Benjamin b. ca. 1846 in GA. Don't know what happened to him. The family moved to AL and lived in the Etowah County area. My Joseph had other siblings: George W., James, Mary, William M. and Jesse C.
