4/11/05 Update
Alrite, I've been gone for a while, but putting the finishing touches on my solo album, workin on the collab album, prepping for the Rap Olympics, and setting up the summer tour is pretty time consuming. Anyway's the show for the May 6th is back on. It's gonna be a hot show. We're gonna have JB!, Rick Whispers, Ace The Grappler, and some young cats that I've been watching lately. Anyway all proceeds go to the American cancer Society, so if your life has been touched negatively by cancer ever, then it is a good reason to go and support. Anyway local news in the music industry - Shyste came out with his solo debut "The Excpetion" and it is bangin. Visit www.shyste.com and purchase it. Also my boy Ace The Grappler is releasing his debut album called "Ventilation" on May 14th. I've heard a few tracks and it sounds like its gonna be crazy as hell. Well now that i gotta lil more time to myself nowadays I can update this site a lil more. I'm coming with a new layout pretty soon. Alrite Peace ya'll til next time.

Bio

Wreck1 was born Shane LaBounty Jr. on December 29th, 1985 in Ft. Benning, GA. Wreck relocated across the U.S.A and the world through his younger years due to his father being in the military. He and his family grew up poor during the younger years with his parents. Both parents were only 18 trying to raise him and his sister. 1 then moved back to the United States in 1988, where he grew up in Troy, NY. Wreck1 began rapping at the age of 12 under the alias S-Calade. when asked where he got that name he repsonded "I'm not quite sure. I think someone just said it one day and it stuck ever since, atleast until I came up with (Doc) Holliday". He also had an alias that still sticks with him known as "The Prophet of Rap". "I was called that by some kids because a lot of my songs I wrote were deep in thought and were able to make you see from a different perspective." says Wreck. He started rapping when he heard a few kids around the corner freestyling. From then on he traveled a few blocks to a friends house where he and atleast twenty other kids would battle and cypher. Wreck was never serious about rapping until he turned sixteen when he met his best friend Morgan "The Reazon" Rivera. "Together me and him started a group ourselves called Criminal Intentionz. This was the time I also started to put songs on the internet and I met kids from all over. So in an instant, Criminal Intentionz was repped from coast to coast. We had a dude from Texas, Jersey, Florida, A-Town, and a dude and a chick from Cali."says Wreck1. He hooked up with some of these people on websites such as Flowsession , Street Illness and Rap Music, all onlines places for up and coming emcees to post their songs and give each other feed back to their songs. On Flowsession, he hooked up with long time partner, fellow white boy, and numero uno collaboration partner, Double A from New Jersey. "AA is my boy. Nomatter what I need a song for I can always count on this dude to get it done with me. He's been my other half ya know. When people said S-Calade (name at the time) they always said Double A right after and vice versa. This dude is brilliant and he'll bring a crazy ass style to any song we put together." says Wreck1 when asked about the almost three year long partnership. Wreck also put together 4 mixtapes, all mastered, duplicated, and sold by him. Two solo mixtapes, Rollin' 22's With No Engine and Nowhere To Hide, and two group mixtapes with Criminal Intentionz, Full Metal Jacket and The Benny Project. Holliday has also generated a giant buzz over the internet with his SoundClick website reaching over 40,000 hits a month. So be sure to be on the look out for the debut WReck1 album titled "Don't Mind Me" due out in the first quarter of 2005 on Sand Creek Records along with CI Productionz. Make sure you check back to the website for more updates. HOLLA!!!!!!
