Spring change

Rotate knob (2) completely counterclockwise to the minimum preload position. Insert WD40 nozzle into small allen bolt (3). Flush out all dirt in bolt cap(3). Insert 1.5 mm Allen wrench FULLY into bolt cap (3). (WARNING: you will likely strip the bolt if not inserted fully). Loosen the small Allen bolt (3), remove knob(2) from cap assembly.
Remove stop ring (4) with gentle prying with small screwdriver. Put left index finger on top compression adjuster to prevent ring from shooting across room.
Holding stanchion tube securely, unscrew cap with a 26 mm open end wrench. Remove cap with O ring from stanchion tube. Lube O ring (6) with dab of silicon grease.
Push stanchion tube into slider and remove spring (9). Let all the oil drain into the fork leg. Replace spring.
Lube O ring (10) with dab of silicon grease.
Move the preload adjuster, in the cap, to the minimum preload position. Screw the cap (5) with lower washer (8) onto the cartridge rod (11). Screw cap all the way into the rod.
Finger tighten the cap into the stanchion tube, careful no to pinch the O ring. Tighten the cap to 12 Nm.
Properly seat stop ring into the preload knob.
Fit the preload knob (2) and secure with Allen bolt to 1.5 Nm. Make sure wrench is FULLY seated!!.
