Outlook - Several years ago, America's independent scene in the Northern Midwest began garnering some attention. A number of talents trickled down into the Chicago scene and have branched out from there. Arik Cannon is a notable member of this movement. He made a big impact in IWA Mid-South feuding with Chris Hero, who he gelled with so well. Their styles grew very similiar, Cannon was a hard-hitter who liked to work the mat and throw suplexes. "The Anarchist" character - a short, blubbery, mohawked punker seemed like a mere decorative shell to the worker. Since becoming a noteworthy independent wrestler, Arik Cannon has grown much more colorful and reeled in his work. He is basically the same package, but he's just more refined and solid now. In his mid-20s, Arik Cannon's road in front him seems wide open. He is something special and certainly stands out in the crowd. However, he doesn't have "the look" that is so often attributed to pro-wrestlers these days. International travel is a possibility and he certainly could hang with very good foreign talent, but his look brings that into question. Arik Cannon is working his way up the ladder and may catch a break somewhere in the near future.
