Outlook - The American independent scene has created some fascinating characters in recent years. The shroud of kayfabe is not it once was, but some wrestlers go to great lengths to keep the image and few do it better than Delirious. If he didn't have the hood and outfit, Delirious would look and work like many indy wrestlers and probably be struggling (more than he is) to make a name for himself. Instead, he made a gimmick for himself. Wearing a wacky mask with four-foot long tassles on the back and sputtering gibberish, Delirious has become an indy favorite. He is a very sound wrestler, but his gimmick gives him that something extra. Along with guys like Jimmy Jacobs, El Generico and others, Delirious is showing that having a gimmick to go with the moves will get you much more attention.
