Outlook - Charles Wright was a character who was given chance after chance with big stars and eventually hit it big. A huge man covered with tattoos with respectable athleticism, Wright was given his first big push in the USWA as one of the many men who beat and fell to Jerry Lawler. The WWF caught wind of him and gave him first run as the memorable Papa Shango, feuding with the Ultimate Warrior. He left and returned years later as an UFC-type and feuded with The Undertaker before leaving again. He returned as a member of the Nation of Domination, finally being background muscle and little else. Slowly though he morphed into a pimp character and eventually fully redid himself as the Godfather. The WWF was at its sleaziest and most controversial and The Godfather became one of their most popular characters. He was even given some big pushes, but his lack of ability and diversity of character kept him from moving out of the upper midcard. In his forties and running his own business, The Godfather will probably continue to make cameos when the time is right and that's all.
