Outlook - One of the premier death match wrestlers in the world, Jun Kasai took the craziness of his hero Mitsuhiro Matsunaga and took it to the next level. Using a crazy monkey gimmick and absorbing hellacious punishment to get over, Kasai became a cult hero in Big Japan and even took his act to the US for a stint. Jun Kasai was not on the level of the top stars from the "Death Match Revolution" era and had to make up for it with energy and recklessness. Unfortunately, Kasai arrival coincided with the fiasco that was the BJW-CZW War of 2001. After Big Japan began struggling and refused to pay his medical bills, Kasai left for runs underneath in bigger companies. Although he was entertaining as a comedy act, Kasai was unable to do death matches. Eventually, he worked his way back to smaller indies where he could work either comedy matches and death matches. He is excellent at both and now has a bigger name than he did after working for bigger companies. Jun Kasai has grown much smarter and can portray insanity without destroying himself. While he might not be the best worker, Kasai has a distinct place in the puroresu scene and will probably hold it down for years to come.
