Outlook - Osamu Nishimura has really come into his own since New Japan's given him the room to step up. In `98, Nishimura was diagnosed with cancer and he spent two years out battling it. Upon his return, the company allowed him time to work off his ring rust and he quickly began getting pushed towards an upper midcard positioning. His throwback style seems bizarre, he's been successful with it though and can mix well with most of the various styles in New Japan and abroad. Nishimura seemed to be a diehard New Japan loyalist and he shocked people when he suddenly became a freelancer in 2006. Nishimura has settled in his role and perhaps working other places will up his game because he still has some quality time left.
