Place in History - One of the best workers in lucha libre, Blue Panther was able to get over despite his simple look because of his uncanny skill. A wizard on the mat, Blue dominated there while his peers took to highflying and gimmicky spots. His nack for working allowed him to get the push that few could've anticipated because of his persona. A natural carrier, who knew how to make the highflyers look more credible than spot monkeys, Blue Panther might have seemed like an odd one to some fans, but he was a key worker in the mid-80s. Helping the up-and-comers look good, Blue made himself look like champ along the way and was really making headway in lucha. The early 90s saw everything fall into place as Blue Panther opened a gym (while only in his 30s!) and he had strong runs with EMLL and AAA that established him as a superstar in Mexico. After briefly running his own company, Blue Panther is back in EMLL and still going strong in his 40s and will probably continue to do so for at least a few more. The know-how and technical prowess that made him a superstar continue to serve him well as they've allowed him to maintain a strong standing into the new millenium.
