Place in History - Getting into wrestling and picking it up quickly allowed Ray Traylor many opportunities that wouldn't have been given to him otherwise. While not the biggest guy, he was a natural at many aspects of the game. As Big Bubba Rogers and the Big Bossman, he carved a place for himself in the premier companies quickly. He was probably the best worker of his size with only Bam Bam Bigelow as his real challenge in those days. As the Bossman, he was pushed hard immediately and was probably the best big man Hulk Hogan was ever paired with in the WWF. After slimming down and turning babyface, Bossman's game improved, but he was never able to get back near top. Pigeon-holed as an enforcer of sorts, Traylor never managed to shake that gimmick headed come into the business with for long. He bounced between WWF and WCW, never quite getting where he wanted and his body breaking down eventually. After the Big Bossman went out for surgery he was made a trainer/coach in OVW, where his know-how as one of the business's best bigmen can be passed along. While Ray Traylor is seldom regarded for his exceptional talents, he is definitely one of the best of his size to date.
