Place in History - One of the big stars of early garbage groups, Mitsuhiro Matsunaga's martial artists who is crazy schtick got over big time with the bloodthirsty Japanese underground. While he was like a bad proto-shooter in his early days, Matsunaga's willingness to do anything made him fit right into the garbage scene. Now he's considered strictly a garbage wrestling legend. As a prominent wrestler in W*ING, "Mr. Danger" was a key wrestler when the group invaded FMW and his program with Mr. Pogo was a continuation of Onita's craziness that made the company. Matsunaga left soon and became the top star for Big Japan, which would develop some excellent juniors and the new breed of garbage wrestlers, who would take the genre to the next level. Matsunaga might not be as good at the style as those youngsters (whom adore him), but he's held in high regard and I expect he'll stick around for years. The "Mr. Danger" cult character might be past his prime and semi-active at best, however he's one of the legends of the hardcore/extreme/garbage/death match wrestling.
