Place in History - One of Mexico's most important stars, Negro Casas has been involved in some of Mexico's premier feuds and has been an influential character on many of the up-and-coming stars. Having a great mind for exciting, dramatic wrestling, Negro Casas was a good booker on top of being a solid preformer for CMLL in recent years. While not the most dynamic, he's been to Japan as much as about any luchador and is respected there as well. While he's had runs as both a technico and a rudo, Negro was best suited for the latter. His Japanese-influenced brawling style (largely modeled after Riki Choshu) and unique heel mannerisms made him a strong player in EMLL in the years when they were battling AAA. While he was never the worker that many of his peers were and are, Negro Casas was a dynamite character and when he turned it on could look like one of the best in the world. Now in his early 40s, Negro is largely a veteran with authority, fan support and know-how, which he uses to the utmost. He still has the abilities that made him a star and taps into them when necessary and remains more than just a solid worker.
